Enhancing and Supporting Effective and Equitable Tribal Juvenile Justice Systems

Tribal communities across the nation need resources to develop and implement evidence-based resilience approaches for tribal youth. These approaches can be customized to address local needs that support courts, law enforcement, child welfare, mental health, and other agencies to gain expertise in promoting resilience for youth and their families. This webinar will discuss different approaches tribal communities and systems can take to develop resilience and promote healing by engaging in training and technical assistance opportunities provided by the National Native Children's Trauma Center.
Learning Objectives:
- Assist participants in understanding why building resilience is an evidence-based approach that should be utilized in their systems and communities.
- Review a tiered response to creating safety and accountability for tribal juvenile justice, utilizing an evidence-based approach to building resilience.
- Share available resilience training and technical assistance opportunities and resources to address safety and accountability.
