MISSISSINEWA COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

October/November 2024

A NOTE FROM OUR SUPERINTENDENT

Mississinewa Community Schools Families and Staff:

The first nine weeks of the 2024-25 school year have been a fantastic start, filled with achievements, growth, and exciting moments across our district. At each school, we are seeing our students thrive, and it’s wonderful to witness the energy and enthusiasm in our classrooms and on our campuses.

At Westview Elementary, students are engaging in foundational learning with creative activities that foster curiosity and early skill-building. Northview Elementary continues to inspire with programs that encourage collaboration and critical thinking, preparing our students for the future. RJ Baskett Middle School has focused on new opportunities for student development, setting a strong foundation for academic success and personal growth. Meanwhile, Mississinewa High School is bustling with activity, as students take on challenging coursework, explore extracurriculars, and represent us in athletics with pride and determination.

Congratulations are in order for some of our outstanding athletic achievements! Our High School football team remains undefeated, showcasing skill and resilience. A big round of applause to our Boys Tennis team for their 2024 Sectional Championship win, and to our Girls Cross Country Team for qualifying for Regionals! Additionally, we celebrate Kyler North for qualifying for Boys Cross Country Regionals—well done!

It has truly been a memorable start to the school year, and I am excited about the journey ahead. Thank you all for your continued support and dedication. Let’s make the rest of the school year just as remarkable!

GO INDIANS!!
