Welcome New Member Martin Jewellers!
Did you know Martin Jewellers is the only full service jewelry and repair store in the area? Whether you are need of repairs, jewelry cleaning, engagement sets, a watch battery replacement, or are looking for the perfect gift for that special someone, Martin Jewellers has you covered! They also do custom jewelry design and have a large collection of estate jewelry!
Time honored tradition is no stranger to this business. The original store was established in 1960 in Herb Martin's home shop on Franklin Street in Shawano. Herb’s son, Jim, joined the business and it was moved to 148 S Main Street in 1989. The Martins purchased the building and inventory from Thimke Jewelers when Bob Thimke decided to retire.
David and Heather Pahl, Jim's cousins, purchased Martin Jewellers in 2017, keeping it, along with its quality service, in the family.
Make sure to see them for all your jewelry needs!

2026 Health Insurance Marketplace:
Changing Carriers & Local Guidance
Sep 17
Written By Emily Chagnon
This is an important year for anyone shopping for health insurance through the Marketplace. Changes are still unfolding, and having a local broker who stays up to date on the latest news can make a big difference in ensuring you get coverage that fits your needs.
If your current insurance company is leaving the market, your coverage will continue through December 31, 2025. However, it’s important to check whether your preferred doctors and medical groups are in network with your new plan. In some counties, certain medical groups may not be covered by private insurance, which could mean longer wait times if you need to onboard with a new provider. Planning ahead — such as scheduling appointments early — is highly recommended.
At the same time, some insurance companies are expanding into new areas. Some of these moves are already public, while others are still pending. We aim to provide a more complete overview by October 1st.
Remember, Open Enrollment for ACA coverage runs from November 1 through December 15, giving you the opportunity to secure a plan that starts January 1, 2026.
Working with a knowledgeable, local broker can help you navigate these changes, compare plans, and ensure that your coverage aligns with your needs and your providers.
