Vaccine Justice Now: Advocate and Donate
As many Canadians begin to see the way out of the COVID-19 pandemic through vaccines, The United Church of Canada is adding a vigorous advocacy campaign to its COVID-19 Global Response and continuing to ask people to financially support global partners dealing with the ongoing pandemic.
It is encouraging individuals to write to the government to encourage them to increase Canada’s financial support to COVAX.
There is also a link to Gifts with a Vision, where you can donate to "pay it forward". It is for an individual, in an under-served area, to receive a vaccine (a UNICEF program).
This is a call to action for all Trilliumites to participate in - knowing we are truly One.

Can cats eat some fruits? Well, yes they can! However, we are accepting donations of canned fruit for the Self-Help Food Bank for human consumption. We appreciate your contributions.
The Summer Food Bank Challenge 2021
This year we have once again been challenged by Central Presbyterian Church to collect items for the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank. SC&O accepted the challenge on behalf of Trillium. We asked the Food Bank which items they need and on their suggestion we are collecting cans of fruit. Our Challenge will take place during July and August.

We are hoping that soon you can bring your cans to the church, but in the meantime, please keep this fundraiser in mind when you shop for groceries or are looking to donate monetarily to a cause close to home.

Send us your photos and captions to keep the challenge moving forward.

The Snobbery of Judgement
When we harshly judge others we do so because we have a snobbish belief that we could handle their circumstances better than they could, probably a lot better. How do we know that? Join Mark as he reflects on Jesus' teaching about judgement and how to overcome the snobbery that underlies so much of our human interactions.

Community Gardening Event
Our children and youth are helping our “wildflowers” grow. These flowers were donated by Liz R. and delivered to our families by Brian H. We will be posting the growth of ALL our wild ones over the summer months.

Our plants are growing at the Makila house and so are Dan and Mira.

How is your garden growing?
