Trillium's Current Response to Provincial Re-Opening

According to provincial regulations, effective September 22, Trillium is required to ask for proof of vaccination from those participating in activities in the church. We will still require masking and distancing when possible.

Proof of vaccination DOES NOT apply to Sunday morning worship services

For members who are participating in activities inside the church, please provide proof of vaccination to the church office, either by email or in person. For more information, contact Ruth Thompson, Chair, Re-Opening Team.

Special Thanksgiving Offering
October is the month that Trillium traditionally donates to one initiative in the church and one in the community. This year the designations will be as follows:
Life and Work of Trillium - Donations will be directed to the purchase of socks for our Blessing Bags.
Local Outreach – Donations will be directed to supporting the Nutrition for Learning program at Parkway Public School.

Please make sure that you indicate on your cheque or e-transfer how much of your total donation is to go to each of these worthy causes.

Tutor's Needed
Our Trillium Children and Youth are back to school.
Many of them require our assistance to help them be successful in their learning.
We are compiling a list of experts. If you have a specific subject you would be willing to help with please let Tracy know.

At this time we are needing someone with an I.T. background and/or business background to help with one of our highschool students.
If you can give an hour or two of your time to tutor, please contact Tracy Sullivan at tracyp73ca@yahoo.com

Mission and Service
Most of us appreciate a well-dressed table and can afford to go out for dinner from time to time. Many of us will be sitting down to elaborate Thanksgiving dinners. Our daily experience doesn’t involve standing in line for every single meal with a tray in hand.

That’s why special dinners like Café Cinq-Zéro-Sept that Ottawa-based Mission & Service partner Centre 507 hosts are so important. Several times a year, the adult drop-in centre sets up a small room for a special fine-dining meal with gourmet food, decorations, and candlelight. For just two dollars, participants have their choice of meal accompanied by full service and great company.
Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action
Each week between September and December you will find some of the Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Report 2015. Please read the actions and think about how we, at Trillium, can participate in reconciling with Indigenous communities. Please click on the link to read this week’s Calls to Action.
Music Video Project
Music director, Jason White, and the music ministry team want to enrich your music experience. They are busy recording choral renditions of some favourite Trillium songs. You can also view them on Trillium's YouTube channel with a new recording loaded each week.
