A Letter For You
Click on the image to read a letter from the Compassion Camp Children & Youth.
Note from the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank:
" In addition to growing our own food, we are thankful for local homeowners who have contacted us for our Gleaning Program. Our team has harvested apples, pears, and cherries that would have otherwise gone to waste. If you have a garden or tree, you would like gleaned, please contact us today."
Perhaps some of our Trillium youth or able-bodied adults in our Trillium congregation might consider volunteering for the gleaning work. If so, please contact the Food Bank.
The Summer Food Bank Challenge 2021
Our Summer Food Bank Challenge has drawn to a close. Once again it has been a successful venture, thanks to the generosity of the Trillium congregation.
We collected 171 actual cans of fruit, which is amazing considering that we were still following COVID-19 safety rules and many congregants were participating in Sunday services online or by phone instead of coming into the church building. When the monetary donations are converted into actual cans that the Food Bank could purchase, our grand total for this summer is: 1,351 cans of fruit!

A special thank you to Jo-Anne Hennig who found creative graphics to enhance our advertising, and to Brian Hershey who provided a pick-up service. Brian also did all of the counting.
