Rescue 100 - Foster Care Program
|
I want to make you aware of what we have going on in MS. We have a foster care crisis. We are in need of safe, loving temporary foster homes. MS has approximately 5500 children in foster care. We have a program called Rescue 100. The mission of Rescue 100 is to recruit and train people to be foster parents. Also, Rescue 100 reaches out to those who are not called to foster to be a support system. Rescue 100 is a faith-based program. We are reaching out to churches for support. In upcoming months we are targeting Warren, Clairborne, Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Wilkinson, Amite, Pike and Walthall Counties. We may include some more counties as the time gets closer. In the 9 counties that I listed, there are approximately 332 in foster care. We are trying to eliminate the shortage of foster homes, by bringing awareness in our churches. We are needing your assistance to help make this successful in your area of the state. We will be visiting the Natchez area soon. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Samantha Crimm, LMSW

For Protection
Christ, light of light, brightness indescribable, the Wisdom, power and glory of God, the Word made flesh: you overcame the forces of Satan, redeemed the world, then ascended again to the Father. Grant me, I pray, in this tarnished world, the shining of your splendor. Send your Archangel Michael to defend me, to guard my going out and coming in, and to bring me safely to your presence, where you reign in the one holy and undivided Trinity, to ages of ages. Amen.
