Lenten Soup Supper Series 2019
|
The 2019 Lenten Soup Supper Series is entitles
Return from Exile: Overcoming Loss, Failure & Personal Set Backs
.
Synopsis:
Exile is a place where you are cut off from your sense of place, your sense of belonging. It is a place where you lack all that you need. It is a time of isolation and suffering. We often associate the concept of exile with a number of events in the Bible, but we all experience exile in some form throughout our lives. God speaks to us through these events and, more importantly, helps us to return from ‘exile’ through the process of spiritual recovery.
The series will begin on Wednesday, March 13th at 6:15 PM. There will be four sessions, including a light soup supper. The series dates are March 13th, March 20th, March 27th, and April 10th. We invite you to join us. Bring a friend!

Greetings! The Trinity Evangelism Committee has concluded its 7-week

Please keep this important endeavor in your prayers and - if you have not done so - please take this short ministry quiz

Trinity Church offers a huge thank you to Kathleen Bond. Kathleen recently completed an 11 session series on the Church’s stained glass, called the Gospel in Glass. Many enjoyed the series. Having so much information on our beautiful windows, and thoughtful reflections on the stories they tell, is a wonderful contribution to the richness of our Church. Thank you, Kathleen!
Congratulations are in order to Adam Gwin, Trinity parishioner, who was recently elected to the Diocesan Standing Committee at Diocesan Council. The Standing Committee serves as the Bishop’s Council of Advice, and, under certain circumstances, becomes the Ecclesiastical Authority of the Diocese. Other areas of responsibility include: Candidacy to Holy Orders, efforts to sell or encumber real estate, and election of bishops in this and other dioceses. Congratulations, Adam!
Congratulations are in order to Les Hegwood, who will soon be ordained a Transitional Deacon for the Diocese of Mississippi as part of the process of being ordained priest in the Church. Most will remember that Trinity Church sponsored Les into seminary and that Les previously served as Head of School at Trinity Episcopal School. He and his family lived in Thomas Hall when they resided in Natchez, prior to seminary, and were active participants at Trinity. Les has recently been assigned to Calvary Episcopal Church, Cleveland, MS (in the Delta). Congratulations Les!

Enneagram Retreat at the Gray Center - April 5-7, 2019
|
A letter form Ellen Gabardi:
I would like to invite you to consider gathering with
The Institute for Conscious Being
for an Enneagram retreat at the Gray Center in Canton April 5-7, 2019. I am presently engaged in their two-year training, and I have found their approach to be immensely complementary to the approach of
Life in the Trinity Ministry
with which many of you are familiar.
As many of you have experienced firsthand in your own lives, the wisdom of the Enneagram creates space and grace by cultivating understanding and compassion for ourselves and for others. The teachings of
The Institute for Conscious Being
promote wholeness through spiritual consciousness and transformation. I hope you'll consider gathering with Dr. Howell and the faculty in April.

Loving God,
Sometimes my heart
turns in every direction
except towards you.
Please help me
to turn my heart toward you,
to gaze upon you in trust
and to seek your kingdom with all of my heart.
Soften my hardened heart
so that I might love others
as a way to glorify and worship you.
Grant me this with the
ever-present guidance of your spirit.
Amen.
