Adult Sunday School at 9:30 am
"How the Saints Illuminate our Lord's Passion" -
Join Fr. Luke and Fr. Tim to talk about how the lives and teaching of the saints point us to the power of Jesus' saving death on the cross and help us live as people redeemed by his blood. Head upstairs to room 2 on March 19th, and April 2nd and 9th at 9:30 am.
"How Children Raise Parents"
-
Sunday, January 8, Fr. Tim began a new series on parenting. We are loosely following the book
How Children Raise Parents
,
and there will be time each week to share stories of our own parenting concerns and successes.
Several copies of the book will be for sale in the Parish Office for $15, but it is not necessary to purchase the book for class. A quote from the author, Dan B. Allender, Ph.D.; "I wrote this book because my children have, more deeply than any other person in my life, invited me to know and trust God." The focus of the book is that parents grow up also as their children mature. This class is for all adults, whether you are a parent of young children, older children, or maybe a grandparent. If you have no children, but you love and pray for our kids, this class is for you too! - Room 4
Bible Study with Bill Stahl: Acts of the Apostles
- Join us for an interesting study on the Acts of the Apostles. - Library
Trinity Cafe - Drop the kids off at Sunday School and join your friends in the Trinity Café for gourmet coffee, pastries, and good conversation. No program, just fellowship. - Parlor
Wednesday Evening at 6:00 pm
Join us each Wednesday evening for our parish family dinner and Christian formation programs - we have a new format for the time you are here! Instead of an hour of dining followed by an hour of programs, we've compressed the meal and program to one hour.
Adults gather in the Parish Hall at 6:00 pm. The adult program time is a brief time for us all to be together. In a span of thirty minutes we sing a hymn, share prayer concerns, hear important parish news, meet new parishioners, recognize birthdays and anniversaries, hear a short devotion from the Rector or Curate, and enjoy being a family together.
Children go upstairs with Kathryn for a thirty minute program. Youth go downstairs to the Student Ministry Center with Carlos Salgado for thirty minutes to hang out.
*If other groups are interested in forming for a book or Bible study, fellowship, etc... just let us know!

Lenten Luncheons Conclude With The Rev. Ruth Pattison
The Rev. Ruth Pattison was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the third of four children, to Bill and Lucille Lindberg. Although they were raised in the Baptist church, their father was an organist and choirmaster in the Episcopal Church, which is where Ruth discovered her love for liturgy and music.
At the age of 25 she moved to Columbus, Georgia to explore her own professional church life with a job in Christian Education and youth ministry at Trinity Episcopal Church. Her love for the church continued to grow and in 1994 she was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Atlanta. She has practiced the priesthood with great joy, and deep devotion both for God and the people of God, ever since.
Her three beautiful children are nearly grown; two daughters in college and one son, a graduate of Auburn, who works in Atlanta. Ruth married her husband Benno 5 years ago. He is the love of her life and they say they have discovered the truth of the phrase in the marriage liturgy that speaks of mutual joy. They love to camp and fish, hike and bike, sing and dance, talk on the porch over a cup of coffee, and write poems, stories, and sermons, as Benno is also a priest. Between the two of them they have six children, Benno's oldest having just married this past October.
Except for the recently married one, their family had the good fortune of traveling to Africa together this past June for a mission trip to Kenya. They finished their work week with a safari in the Masai Mara. They feel their mission to find God in the world was successful and their "souls are rich with new faces of the divine."
