Bishop Kendrick's Annual Visit
Last Sunday, The Right Rev. Bishop Russell Kendrick visited Trinity where he held a forum, answering questions about scripture, Episcopalians, and football. He also conducted the 10:30 am service in which every pew was filled. He spoke about a larger than life story.

Time to Gather
Tour of Homes Auction Items
The Tour of Homes Auction had some really great items to sell in 2018. The committee is always amazed by the generosity of Trinity Church parishioners who yearly find wonderful treasures to donate to the auction. Now that the excitement of Christmas and the beginning of our New Year has passed, we need to look ahead to the 2019 Auction. It takes a lot of time to catalog, price, and carefully store our items, so we need to begin now. We have found that old silver pitchers and bowls look lovely with plants and flowers in them. Trays are wonderful hung, especially with an added mirror. Small vintage furniture, lamps, plant stands, and collectibles sell well. Jewelry, Art (especially originals), sets of china, and almost anything else you might think of have a place in our Auction. If you do not have an item that you wish to give, the committee greatly appreciates cash donations as we will need to buy wine, flowers, and plants as well as items for our specialty containers. So please check those closets and storage buildings so we can continue to make enough money to keep our beloved church and rectory in good repair.

Trinity's Outreach Committee is calling on all of us to help the Big Bend Hospice by contributing containers of Boost or Ensure. Many hospice patients there rely on these products for their nutritional needs. Pick some up today and leave it in the Food Wagon inside the front door of the Church, or at the Church Office, through February.
You've probably noticed the new Trinity Welcome/Prayer List Brochure in your pew. Visitors can fill out the welcome side, or anyone can fill out the prayer list side, and drop it in the offering plate.
Please make use of these, and encourage those visitors sitting next to you to fill out the card so that we can properly welcome them.
Tuesday, February 5 at Trinity:
  • 2 pm -- Committee Chairs meeting to coordinate activities and hear about resources for promoting events.
  • 4 pm -- Refresher training for current Acolytes and Lay Eucharistic Ministers.
