Transition Update from your Vestry
This Sunday, June 12, will be a very important day for us - Trinity Sunday, our feast day and one of seven principal feasts of the church year. It celebrates the mystery of faith and unity of the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is also a day for us to gather to say goodbye to Father Eric and celebrate his ministry here at Trinity. I hope that all of you will join us for Morning Prayer at 10:30 am and, afterward, for a farewell reception in Benedict Hall.
Over the next few weeks, we will continue to have Morning Prayer at 10:30 am each Sunday. Please let us know if any of you would be interested in participating in a service either as an officiant or by offering a brief homily. Please check with Denise Butler if are interested in an 8 am service. The Rev. Martha Harris has graciously agreed to celebrate the Eucharist with us on the 4th Sundays of June and July. We anticipate having an interim rector in place by August 1. The details are still being worked out, but more information will be available very soon.

As we move through this transition period at Trinity, you can use these
prayers to seek guidance, strength, and understanding.

Lastly, the Vestry is beginning to put together a search committee that will be charged with finding our next rector. Again, we welcome your participation; and anyone that would like to be considered for a place on the committee should contact Rennie at 205-936-8124 or rennie.edwards@gmail.com.

Blessings to all! -- Rennie

Let’s say thank you and good-bye on this occasion with good food, lighthearted toasts, cheers, and reflections of good memories.

Man vs Mockingbird
Armed in a heavy, hooded slicker, Kirk Hadaway protects himself from a dive-bombing mockingbird as he harvests tomatoes from his Community Garden plot. Who knew gardening could pose such a danger?
