Happening at Trinity this week -- rehearsing for Evensong, selling tour tickets, finalizing auction items, cooking for the luncheon, and setting up the grounds. Looking forward to a wonderful tour weekend!
Easter Sunday at Trinity
From the Early Morning Service in Lafayette Park to the Flowering of the Cross and ringing of the bell, followed by Trinity's Traditional Service, and finally, a visit from the Easter Bunny, it was a glorious Easter Sunday in Apalachicola.
New Linens Honor Susan Clementson
and Her Legacy at Trinity
On December 28, 2017, Trinity lost one its most faithful and long serving parishioners in Susan Clementson. Susan’s contributions to the life of Trinity Church were many. She served as a Vestry member and as Senior Warden as well as on the Altar Guild and Flower Guild.

For several years, she was instrumental in persuading local residents to open their homes for our annual Home and Garden Tour. Her enthusiasm and love of Trinity and Apalachicola and its history made her a perfect ambassador for her hometown and church.

After Susan’s death, Trinity received a number of generous donations in her memory. Some of those funds have been used to replace our well-worn white altar and pulpit hangings. The new linens were custom made for us by Andrea Farley of Portland, OR and incorporate Kristin Anderson’s beautiful Triskelion symbol as a centerpiece. It was truly delightful to have the beautiful new hanging adorn our altar and Pulpit on Easter Sunday.

Beautiful Flower Arrangements

Seasoned members of the St. John's Church/ Tallahassee Flower Guild will conduct the class that will include demonstrations on church altar and reception flowers, as well as flowers for the home.

Members Report High Involvement in Worship
Respondents in last year's Parish Survey reported high levels of participation in several categories. More people are involved with worship than any other category; this reveals itself every Sunday, when we see acolytes, the verger, lay eucharistic ministers, readers, greeters, the altar and flower guilds, and the choir, all coming together with the Priest to create a meaningful service for our members, friends, and visitors.
EfM -- Learn, Discover, Question, Reflect

Education for Ministry (EfM), a four-year curriculum, will begin it's new year of study in the fall. As this year of study comes to a close, three Trinity Parishioners are "graduating" from EfM on May 19 -- Ralph Wagoner, Susie Wagoner, and Jane Harris .

In this issue of the Bay View, Denise Butler reflects on her first two years as an EfM participant:

I began EfM not knowing quite what to expect. I work full time and travel so I wasn’t sure if the time commitment for study and sharing could be accomplished. Some weeks the readings are better than others. but I just do the best I can. Sometimes, I refer to summaries on the internet and a study bible. Rarely has there been a week where I don’t “get something” from the readings. More importantly, there is never a week that I don’t get something from the group discussion, reflection and prayer.

We all listen and learn from each other respectfully. We “fellowship” over meals frequently. Everyone misses now and then….life does happen! Our mentors, Martha and Carol, keep us on track and engaged.  I am looking forward to Year 3 and I am surprised as anyone that I have been able to participate!
