There are several ways to expand your faith beyond services on Sunday.

We also offer Sunday School during our 10 a.m. and Noon services, which features activities, stories and games for those in K-5th grade. Children are reunited with their parents in time to receive communion.

The Dean's Commentary
"We declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ."
— 1 John 1:3
"Crown him, ye kings, with many crowns, for he is King of all."
— Matthew Bridges, 1800-1894
Dear Friends,
Sunday celebrates the feast of Christ the King, a feast day where we are invited to place Jesus at the center of absolutely everything in life. The hope is that, when we place Christ in the center, we may more vividly experience his most wondrous name and presence of love. After all, the people of Trinity worship a God who chooses to be in fellowship with us at all times and in all places.

|
November 22 | 6:30 p.m.
Auditorium
Our Soul Care program of spiritual nourishment and development offers a weekly opportunity for contemplation and reflection.
Each service is slightly different, but has the same goal of opening ourselves to see God's work in our lives through our sacred spaces, prayer and contemplative movement.

Printmaking and Carving
December Olney Gallery Exhibit
|
The prints from Glendale Community College’s (GCC) Printmaking Program and the carved wood sculptures by Matthew Werner require planning, precision, and technical skill.
The GCC printmakers are instructor Donna Atwood, along with Anita Oas, Erin Shaeffer, Josh Ewbank, Ken Reed, Kimberley Boege, and Leanne Kamben. Their exhibit is titled “EDITIONS,” a printmaking term that refers to several prints struck from one plate. This exhibition is primarily comprised of editioned work of linocuts and screen prints.
Matthew Werner is a classical figure sculptor. His sculptures of people have a narrative that encourages people to find their own stories. Werner’s work often is a reflection on social issues. Werner can spend 100-200 hours carving a sculpture.

Help Trinity Health Ministries & Nina Garguilo fight ALS |
Every 90 minutes, a person in this country is diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS, and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease.
That’s why Trinity Health Ministries is joining Trinity choir member Nina Garguilo in the Walk to Defeat ALS. Nina’s mother Jane Mayer answered her call to God after her battle with ALS on July 24th, 2022.
This Saturday, November 19, we walk to bring hope, to raise awareness, and to provide resources and services to families free of charge. Join us by sponsoring Nina here.

Garfield Christmas Toy Drive |
Deadline: December 7
Garfield Christmas Party: December 10
We are starting our collection of toys for students at Garfield Elementary School.
We ask you purchase a toy that is $10 or less and deposit it unwrapped in the box underneath the stairs in the Olney Gallery.
We will deliver them as part of our annual Christmas Party with the students on December 10th at 9:30 a.m. We will need a variety of volunteers for this event, and will have further details soon.
| | |
|
Deadline: December 11
The holidays will be here before we know it, so we are starting signups for one of our outreach programs: providing presents for children we are "adopting" through our partnership with Nourish PHX (formerly ICM).
Each child should receive gifts of an article of clothing and a toy with a combined value of less than $50.
You may partner with someone to provide both gifts, and they may be unwrapped or in a gift bag. Please ensure each gift has a tag with the child's name and ID number.
Presents may be deposited in a box in the Olney Gallery.

Garfield Food Pantry Needs |
As part of our ongoing support for the food pantry at Garfield Elementary School, each week this space will highlight some of the most in-demand items as reported by our volunteers.
Right now the pantry is most in need of:
-
Cheez-Its (12.4 oz. boxes)
-
Oil (32 fl. oz. plastic bottles)
-
Peanut butter (16 oz. cans)
-
Cornmeal (24 oz. boxes)
-
Turkey-flavored gravy mix (0.87 oz. containers)
-
Snack crackers or Saltines (12 oz. boxes or less)
-
Buttery homestyle mashed potatoes (4 oz. packets)
We ask for safety and weight reasons no food that comes in glass containers be donated. Please remember our food bags must be carried and cared for by elementary students!
Thank you to everyone who has helped to support and grow this ministry, and we hope by focusing on a few different items each week we can continue to offer balanced, healthy and nutritional meals to those in need.

Serving Our Homeless Neighbors on Thanksgiving and Christmas |
We’re beginning the planning process for our annual breakfasts for our homeless neighbors the mornings of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We need volunteers willing to arrive at Trinity as early as 6:30 a.m. to help prepare, serve and clean up after our community meal. We will also need breakfast breads and cookies that we can distribute those mornings.
Those of you who have done this before know what to expect. For anyone new to volunteering for these events, the duties are very simple and participation is very rewarding.
There will be a signup sheet at the reception desk. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact Dave Howell at davejoanhowell@gmail.com.

Crafting Items for Our Homeless Neighbors on Thanksgiving and Christmas |
The Loosely Knit Craft Guild needs help! They're looking to recruit those who knit or crochet to assist in a drive to make beanies, scarves, gloves, and similar to be given to our homeless neighbors at our Thanksgiving and Christmas breakfasts.
If you've never held a knitting needle in your life but still would like to contribute, donations of yard would be greatly appreciated.
Those interested in getting involved can email Dyane Welt.
