The Dance of the Trinity

Last Sunday was Trinity Sunday, and Pastor Jenn Pockat, an associate to the bishop of our synod, spoke of the dance of the Trinity. The God we worship and follow is both one and three, always in motion. This perpetual motion of God opens us up to new ways of being, ways we may never have imagined before. The sermon made me wonder, where have you seen God in motion this week? Where is God on the move in our community and in the world?

God’s Blessings,

Pr. Erin

June Ministry Spotlight

Trinity's monthly benevolence focus for June is the Synod and the ELCAThe Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the U.S. and a way of being church. The East Central Synod of Wisconsin is one of 65 regional groupings of congregations and other ministry sites within the ELCA. The area it serves in Wisconsin stretches from the bottom of Lake Winnebago to the Northwoods, from the shores of the Bay to the path of the Wisconsin River.

A synod is a way of organizing the church that helps congregations, ministry sites, and leaders stay connected to each other and to the wider church beyond our region and outside our denomination. Because we are intentionally connected and turned outward in this way, we help each other fight the human tendency to only look inward and care about the people who are closest to and most like us.

See the display in the Koinonia room, and please consider supporting their good work this month in the envelopes provided!

Operation School Supplies

Operation School Supplies is back and helping local children get the supplies they need to succeed in school. The current needs are Crayola markers, Crayola crayons, Crayola colored pencils, Crayola paint sets for kindergarteners, boy and girl backpacks, and plastic work boxes. We will be collecting items throughout the month of June near the office entrance. Thank you in advance for your generosity toward local schoolchildren!

Let's Fill the Food Cart at the Fourth of July Parade

A great tradition returns this Independence Day! Cub Scout Pack 3634 will once again collect financial contributions and non-perishable food items in partnership with Trinity during Waupaca's Fourth of July parade. If you plan to attend the parade, bring a monetary donation or some canned foods to share. All donations will go to the Waupaca Area Food Pantry. From 2013 to 2021, generous folks along the downtown Waupaca parade route have contributed a nine-year total of 3,708 pounds of food and $3,834.69!
