Join Us for Ecumenical Worship and Pie!

Members of other area churches will gather with our community at Trinity tonight at 6 p.m. for the Waupaca area's 12th annual ecumenical Thanksgiving Eve worship service. St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, the Waupaca Area Regional Ministry of the United Methodist Church, and Trinity are co-hosting the service, which will also stream live. The Chain O’ Lakes Ministerial Association has held an ecumenical service each Thanksgiving Eve since 2012. Please note the earlier time in place of Trinity's usual Wednesday-evening service.

Continuing a new tradition established last year by the gracious members of St. Mary Magdalene, a pie social will follow. We hope you can join our combined community for this special worship opportunity!

Remembering Mel Richter

Melvin Richter, Trinity's oldest male member and last World War II-era veteran, died Monday, Nov. 6, days before his 96th birthday and Veterans Day. Please keep his family and other loved ones in your prayers, that God would comfort them with the promise of new life in Christ. Mel's memorial service will be at 11 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 25, at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca after an hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. You can click here to read the obituary for Melvin O. Richter.

New Advent Series Begins New Church Year Sunday

The Holy Spirit is often the aspect of God we have the hardest time wrapping our minds around. As the season of gift-giving approaches, it's a perfect time to center our hearts on this Spirit who gives us so many gifts. This coming Sunday, Nov. 26, Pastor Mark Ziemer begins this new season of Advent and this new church year with the first sermon in our new series, which in coming weeks will also include special interactive experiences. As we begin 2024, we'll follow up with a deeper look into the unique spiritual gifts God gives each of us personally and what they mean for us and the world around us. We look forward to seeing you this special season!

Make the Switch to Trinity's New Membership System

If you've already been giving to Trinity online or you're ready to start, an exciting opportunity awaits! Existing electronic givers: Make sure to check your email for a recent message from Trinity Administrator Jacci Peterson inviting you to join our new online membership system, Breeze. Others will receive an invitation in coming weeks. Signing up for online giving now will also give you early access to this new system, which will replace our current Vanco giving platform after Dec. 31. Please visit tiny.cc/UpdateGiving to learn all the details and get on board! If you have any questions about this process, please click the link and read the helpful instructions. Jacci is also offering in-person help after select Sunday worship services.

We're excited to connect our congregation like never before through Breeze in 2024. Using the new system will allow you to manage your giving as well as your membership information and even let you opt into an exciting online member directory, accessible through a great mobile app.

Every Intention Adds Up! Help Trinity With Yours Today!

Trinity thanks the many members who have offered 2024 giving intentions! We've now approached last year's total of 164 intentions, meaning every intention of any amount that we receive will have immediate benefit to Trinity. If you haven't yet stated your intention, our challenge givers are still offering the promised twofold bonus to give your intended giving additional impact:

  • Challenge 1: Every intention helps! For every intention Trinity receives beyond the 164 intentions we received a year ago, a generous Trinity household will offer $100! With thanks especially to more than 35 households who offered intentions this year without such statements last year, we're now on the verge of this bonus kicking in! Special note, especially to encourage younger members: The challenge giver who will offer the first 10 $100 bonus gifts is under the age of 30!

  • Challenge 2: For those who offered giving intentions last year, your increased giving goes even farther! For any increase in intended giving that you indicate over last year’s giving intention, another generous Trinity household will match 10% of that increase! Let’s say you committed to giving $1,000 for 2023 on last year’s intention statement—a 2024 intention of $2,000 (an increase of $1,000) on this year’s intention statement will provide Trinity with an additional $100 (10% of your increase) from the challenge givers beyond your own increased giving! Thanks to your increases, we're already guaranteed more than $3,000 in gifts from this challenge, and, with many households that offered intentions last year still to state their 2024 intentions, this total can grow!

If you haven't already shared your plans for 2024, please offer your giving intention electronically at tiny.cc/Intent2024 right away!

Trinity's Stewardship Team thanks you for responding generously, prayerfully, and joyfully to God’s blessings now and always!

Make a Difference With ELCA Good Gifts

This Coming Tuesday, Nov. 28, people all around the world are coming together to tap into the power of human connection, strengthen communities, and change our world.

On Giving Tuesday, our Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will lift up ELCA Good Gifts as a way for members across the church to show their support for the ministries we share. Good Gifts has more than 50 charitable gifts to choose from, and each makes a real impact in the world, sharing the love of Christ, one goat, water filter, or school uniform at a time.

Here's how you can help:

  1. Give. On Tuesday, go to elca.org/goodgifts to make your donation.
  2. Spread the word. Share what gift(s) you gave and what our churchwide ministries mean to you—then invite your friends, family, and congregation members to join you! Check your inbox and social media feeds on Tuesday for ELCA content you can share that day.

God is calling us into the world—together. And with generous, loving hands we can make a difference. Thank you for your support.
