Trinity Covid Task Force
Emergency Protocol Implementation
Worship on Sunday, January 2

Today, Saturday, January 1, the Trinity Covid Task Force held an emergency meeting to discuss the surge in Covid infection in Northampton County. As can be seen from the chart above, Northampton County had a 35 point rise in infection. Lehigh County also saw a dramatic rise as well. Because of this, the Trinity Covid Task Force is taking the following steps to make everyone as safe as possible in our worship. Please note that we will continue to have public worship services. The Task Force will, however, meet weekly to reassess the situation, depending on the infection rate and whether we have seen a rise in Covid infection in our own parish.

  1. Masks are mandatory.
  2. Masks must cover the nose.
  3. There will be no choral or congregational singing beginning tomorrow.
  4. Please observe social distancing of at least 6 feet (preferably more) more from those not in your family or social group.
  5. If you feel at all unwell, please do not attend public worship, but tune in via Facebook or our website links to our livestreamed service.
  6. If you have not yet been vaccinated and boosted, please watch our services via livestreaming.
  7. The offering plates will be at the back of the nave. Please place your pledges and offerings there either before or after the service.
  8. Ushers will be at the back of the nave to facilitate bulletins, seating, and offering of masks to those who may have forgotten theirs.

The Trinity Covid Task Force will be as flexible as possible and let us know as soon as possible if more stringent protocol is necessary. We appreciate how well this congregation has adapted to the various ways we have met for worship and we know that you will continue to offer your prayerful support for keeping us all healthy during these uncertain times.
Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love's sake. Amen.
