Live Auction & Paddle Raise!

What a party! Thank you everyone who came along and made the Trinity Christmas Party, Mini-Auction, & Paddle Raise such a wonderful evening and such an incredible success! We raised over $50,000 on the evening for Trinity Ministries including for our three nominated Paddle Raise good causes: The Piedmont Child Care Center, The Shelton Family (adapted minivan) and for the outreach program of St George's Cathedral, Jerusalem, working across geographic and political divides throughout the Middle East.

That's a 20% increase on our 2022 result!

At the same time our glittering online auction was taking place. We're just selling the last few items to people looking to grab a deal!... but added together we have raised

over $72,000 for our 2024 Trinity Ministries Program.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to achieve this amazing result and thank you to you all for joining in with the fun, and being so generous to help those most in need today.

Are you All-In @ Trinity for 2024?

All-In for Stewardship is our 2024 Stewardship Campaign @ Trinity!

Everyone should now have received a pledge information pack either in person at church or through the mail. We're now asking everyone to return a completed 2024 pledge form as soon as possible so that we can begin 2024 with certainty and confidence in our annual budget. Thank you.

In your pack you'll find a reflection from Fr. Jonathan on what it might mean to be "All-In" at Trinity; some great testimonials from some of our generous givers; amazing facts and figures about the difference your giving is making here; a helpful article looking at what is actually means to "make a pledge"; and a step-by-step guide to Pushpay our online church giving and management system.

You can read your digital copy of our All-in for Stewardship brochure here.

You can make your 2024 pledge online, in writing, or in person. Make your pledge here and make sure you're all in at Trinity for 2024!

THIS WEEKEND

@ TRINITY

Join us this Sunday, 3:00pm, at Trinity, for the Blue Ridge Singers Christmas Concert "On Christmas Night" All are welcome! See you there!

Our 5:00pm Sanctuary service takes place as usual following this concert.

A reminder that we continue our 2023 Trinity Reverse Advent Calendar!

Advent calendars are a much-loved tradition in the run up to Christmas but the reverse advent calendar is becoming increasingly popular and is a great way to practice regular and habitual giving throughout the run up to Christmas. Instead of receiving a gift, those taking part in a reverse calendar DONATE an item each day.

At the end of advent, the calendar will result in a collection of 24 items for the Trinity Advent Appeal. Of course, you don't have to give an item every day - just whatever you are able to give.

We're collecting items of new clothing for the Mountaineer Recovery Center located just across the border in West Virginia, but serving our communities, too. We're excited to be renewing our relationship of support and giving with the center and hope you can help us.

This Sunday, December 10th, we are joined at Trinity by Dr. Jonathan Hartiens, Chief Executive Officer of the center who will be speaking briefly during our morning services and at our Coffee Hour after the 10:30am service, when there will be a chance to meet Jonathan and find out more about the work of the center.

You'll find a collection box just inside the entrance to church, so as you enter or leave just drop your gift in.

We're collecting new items only: Men's & Women's shirts, pants, underwear & coats. You'll find a complete list of items that are needed on the collection boxes in church and each day we'll be posting our daily appeal through all the Trinity Social Media channels.

Thank you for our support.

What is this Healing Ministry anyway?

The healing ministry is a group of devoted prayer ministers whose mission is to listen, love and pray for God’s children. Our healing ministry team joined together because each of us felt called to participate in the healing works of Jesus. Some of us have been healed, and all of us have known people that have experienced God’s healing touch. We have been privileged to be present for many of God’s healings.

We formed a healing prayer group that meets on Mondays from 3:00-4:00 pm. Each week, we will be praying for our parish and for anyone in need of healing prayer. You can request prayer for yourself or others in the following ways:

· Fill out an anonymous Prayer Request Card from the church pews or submit a prayer request form in the Visit Us section of the Trinity website. Place the cards in the Prayer Request Box at the back of the church; requests must be resubmitted every week.

· Call the church office to place someone on the parish prayer list until you remove them. These requests are published in the bulletin for church members to add to their prayer list.

· Make a request for private prayer (no publicity) from one of the prayer team members. These requests are permanent until you remove them.

We also offer healing prayer during the 8:00am and 10:30am services. Anyone who would like healing prayer may come to the small chapel after they receive communion where a prayer team will pray with you. We welcome any prayer needs including ailments, suffering, problems, struggles, etc. for you or someone else.

In addition, appointments may be made for special sessions of healing prayer for critical/complex issues or for home/hospital visitations. If you are in need of help from our Healing Prayer Team, please contact Ginny Fluet at 540-660-2636 or Joe Fluet at 603-496-8999. We begin a new class of prayer ministers every year so give Ginny a call if you think God may be calling you to this ministry in some way. Come pray with us!

Please be aware that major construction work is continuing at a number of locations at Trinity and extra care should be taken at all times when on the Trinity campus or within the buildings.

Thank you for your cooperation and support during these significant developments and improvements at Trinity.

  • Do not enter construction areas that are taped or screened off.
  • Changing rooms and Restrooms within the church basement are closed from 10/30. Robes and changing for all lay ministries is being relocated to Cox Hall basement.
  • No access is permitted to any area of the church basement until further notice.
  • Extensive groundworks are taking place to all areas to the eastern part of the campus and to the area immediately behind Cox Hall. Please avoid these areas.
  • The small parking lot immediately to the east of the church building is now closed and now forms the works compound for our HVAC & electrical contractors, through 2024. Please do not attempt to drive into this area, and please do not block vehicle access at the eastern driveway at any time.

Thank you for your cooperation and support during these significant developments and improvements at Trinity.

Look out for our new style welcome cards which you'll find in each pew and at the back of the church. If you're new at Trinity, please complete a card and place it in the offering plate or hand it to one of our church greeters as you leave the service. That way we can connect with you and formally welcome you and your family to Trinity and answer any questions you might have. Trinity, there is a place for you.

Each Monday, at 12:30pm EST, a small

group from Abbey Dore Deanery group of churches, on the rural borders of England & Wales, U.K. meets online for a short time of led Celtic Prayer. An open

invitation is extended everyone to this simple service, which last around 10 minutes, which offers a spiritual routine and a time of quiet with God, in the midst of busy days.

Join here and you can find a copy of the liturgy here or request a printed copy from the Trinity Parish Office.
