MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
IMPACTING OUR COMMUNITY
MORE THAN EVER BEFORE!
Back in 2025 Trinity Church (along with the other three churches within Upperville), was a founding partner of the new Piedmont Region of Tree of Life Ministries.
So many great things have been happening as this amazing ministry continues to grow and develop. We're excited to share some recent highlights with our readers! ...
-
FOOD BRANCH: We continue to make connections and increase our deliveries to partners who most need our love and support... 5 new deliveries in Berryville have just started, Please continue to bring food to church each Sundays for the pantry = please leave donations in the food basket in the church vestibule or on the porch of Trinity Thrift & Boutique.
-
LIFESKILLS BRANCH: We recently completed a bible based emotional resilience class that was well attended... and now w're planning for additional classes.
-
SHELTER BRANCH: Our "Working Hands" Ministry: We are excited to have recently received a $10K grant to continue this ministry... plans are underway to use those funds. Trinity Church volunteers were "hands-On at our last property project at Marshall, and we've got lots more projects coming soon!
-
HEALTHCARE BRANCH: We are offering together a free Dental Clinic (cleaning) for up to 40 children to be held in Marshall on Saturday, October 10th.
-
RELIEF BRANCH: Plans are being made for a Community Christmas event on Wednesday, December 16th. This will be held in conjunction with the December Community Meal, which is held each month at Cox Hall, Trinity Episcopal Church.
-
ACROSS PIEDMONT: We're excited that as we continue to grow this ministry, more people continue to join us as volunteers (we have volunteer leaders for all five of our Ministry Branches - amongst them members of the Trinity Church family), and other churches are joining with us from across the region! We are now serving from Marshall to Berryville, and everywhere in between!
| | | |
We are grateful for the all the support that the Trinity Church family are providing to this growing and varied ministry, in so many different ways, which is impacting our community more than ever before!
If you are interested in getting involved, would like to know more, or have any questions about our work and ministry, please e-mail Paul Smith here or Jim Gemmer here. They'd love to hear from you!

OUTDOOR SANCTUARY
Works in connection with Phase One of our Outdoor Sanctuary enhancement and improvement project continue. These include clearing and removal of invasive undergrowth species within the woodland areas, bush hogging of selected grassland areas, and the start of an ambitious tree planting program. We are delighted to be working with our selected contractors Virginica LLC.
During the next few months please take extra care when walking in the Outdoor Sanctuary and keep dogs under control. Please stay away from machinery and active works areas which could pose a danger to you and your pets. Thank you.
More information is displayed at all entrances to the Outdoor Sanctuary. This project has been made possible through the support of the Gerald B. Lambert Foundation and is honor of the life and legacy of Rachel (Bunny) Mellon.

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE!
Works to extend and remodel the Trinity garage building are making great progress! The completed project will provide additional vehicle garaging, storage, and a dedicated workshop space to support the maintenance and management of the Trinity Church Campus including the Outdoor Sanctuary. We are delighted to be working with our selected contractors Kwon Construction.
It is intended that in the near future, with completion of this project, all maintenance and equipment storage facilities will be relocated to this one, single location at the east of the campus, a change which we hope will help support our vision for a neater, safer, and more cohesive use of our beautiful campus. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
This project has been made possible through the support of the Gerard B. Lambert Foundation and is honor of the life and legacy of Rachel (Bunny) Mellon.

WE ARE GOD'S HANDS IN THE WORLD!
Trinity Outreach Update - Summer 2026
We're having a great year of support for Trinity Outreach Ministries! The Outreach Grants Committee and Trinity staff want to share more about the many organizations that benefit from our parish’s charitable grants and other gifts. Outreach funds are made possible by the generosity of Trinity congregants and the greater community, via direct donations and annual fundraisers: Hunt Country Stable Tour, Online Christmas Auction, and Trinity Thrift & Boutique.
In 2025, Trinity’s Outreach Planning and Grants team allocated $121,181 to charitable organizations and individuals/families facing hardships. Trinity’s 2026 budget for Outreach grants is $140,000! Read more here about how we use these funds to support people who most need our love and support - locally, regionally, nationally, and across the globe. Thank you for your amazing generosity and support!

OURDOOR SANCTUARY LOOKS TO THE FUTURE!
Through the munificence of the Gerard B. Lambert Foundation, Trinity Church has received a generous grant award for the revitalization and improvement of the Outdoor Sanctuary at the Trinity Church campus.
In total the grant package is worth $5m, including $1.5m of match funding to be raised by Trinity Church and its wide community of support. The grant is intended to further the legacy of Rachel (Bunny Mellon) and the things that were most important to her during in her lifetime, especially concerning Trinity Church and campus and her passion for environmentalism and ecological conservation and restoration. This follows on from an initial development award from the Lambert Foundation of $180,000 which has funded development of vision and scoping documents, and outline development plans and ideas.

We are truly grateful for the creativity, wisdom, and discernment of the Trinity Church Outdoor Sanctuary group, who, for 18 months have worked with Nelson Byrd Woltz (landscape architects) to bring this project to fruition. With the agreement and support of the Vestry detailed proposals and contracts for year 1 works are now underway, with more exciting developments to follow over the next 5-year period. This major funding also includes the provision to create a new dedicated endowment fund for future maintenance of the Outdoor Sanctuary.
We look forward to this cherished and beautiful part of God's creation playing a significantly enhanced role in the overall ministry of Trinity Church - both spiritually and practically. Watch our social media platforms and other communications for more exciting news to follow.
Trinity, there's a place for you.

A selection of dates throughout the year have become available and we invite your participation. A donation of $150 to Trinity Church is requested towards the cost of flowers for each week
