In-Person Sunday Service Cancelled Aug. 2 & 9

Unfortunately, due to Wisconsin being named a COVID hot spot state by Illinois while Fr. Court and his family were there on vacation, they will have to self-quarantine when they get home. We will have a Zoom service the next two weeks at 11 a.m.

The 9 a.m. in person in-person Sunday services are cancelled for Aug. 2 and 9.

Thank you for your understanding.
Fr. Court on Vacation

Fr. Court and his family will be on vacation from Monday, July 27th to Saturday, August 1st in Door County, WI. For pastoral emergencies, you can contact the office ( / 847-432-6653) or one of the wardens, Fred Johnston or Michael Duggan .
Updating the Prayer List

Dear parishioners of Trinity, we are working on cleaning up the prayer list. If you have any updates to the prayer list, please contact Fr. Court ( ) and Geoff Graham, our parish admin ( ) with those updates. Thank you!
Trinity Not Participating in 2020 Rummage Sale

Please note, Trinity will not be participating in the rummage sale this year. Please let your family, neighbors and friends know that we are not able to accept donations for the rummage sale. Thank you for your support of the rummage sale in previous years.

Volunteer & Giving Opportunities
Opportunities to Volunteer for Ministry

The Outreach committee needs volunteers to help. We need people to volunteer to be members of our outreach committee. Committee members will evaluate current outreach efforts, brainstorm and research new outreach efforts, raise money and materials for those in need, advertise and communicate outreach efforts and needs, and participate in outreach efforts in our community. Please let Fr. Court ( ), John Risko ( ), or Claire Esker ( ) know.
Friendly, Welcoming People Needed

If you are a friendly, welcoming person who loves Trinity, we could use you on the Hospitality Committee. If you would like to be involved in helping to welcome newcomers to our parish, help with Funeral or Wedding receptions, or oversee the coffee hour efforts, please contact Jodie McCann ( ) and let her know.
Building & Grounds Committee Seeks People

Are you handy at fixing things? Do you enjoy little projects to repair and beautify? Do you love our gorgeous, old building? The Buildings and Grounds committee could use your help. If you are interested, please contact Priscilla McGraw ( ).
Readers Needed for Sunday Services

We are in need of readers to serve at both the 9 a.m. outdoor service and the 11 a.m. online Sunday services.

If you can help with this important ministry, please contact Geoff at or 847-432-6653 (and please mention whether you are able to help at the 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. service). Thank you!

Supporting Community Meals

Currently Catholic Charities has the community meals at St. James in Highwood on hold. In an effort to support the community by both serving meals and supporting local business, Catholic Charities is having local restaurants cater the meal by creating to-go meals. Those who need food then drive up and the meals are handed to them.
Catholic Charities does need money to fund these efforts and have asked those groups who had volunteered to donate money to their effort. If anyone would like to donate, here is the information:

  • Checks can be made out to: Catholic Charities Lake County
  • Please put “Highwood Community Supper” in the memo line.
  • Send checks to: Kristen M. Flanagan, Catholic Charities, 671 S. Lewis Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085
