US NAVY ACADEMY COLLABORATION

Earlier this month, 35 Blazers headed to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD for "STEM on the Deck" where they participated in hands-on activities in their state-of-the-art STEM Center. Blazers conducted experiments and programmed robots. In the lab, Blazers learned how disease spreads rapidly through a simulation, how antibodies are vital in the prevention of diseases, and how the Navy responds to bioterrorism through vaccinations. On the other side of the campus, Blazers were able to control Sphero robots and customize their codes. Through this experience, they were able to interact and learn so much with the help of the professors from the Naval Academy!
