Trinity Kids Happenings
January 2019
A Note from Rachael
Happy New Year! As I reflect on 2018, I am so grateful for God's faithfulness in our children's ministry and His work in the lives of our Trinity Kids. Here are a few highlights that come to mind . . .
  • God provided a loving, effective team of Sunday School teachers and helpers for the summer and school year. They are doing such a great job connecting with your kids as they share the truth from God's Word and the love of Christ with them each week in Sunday School!
  • Kids learned from the books of Acts and James in Bible Study Kids (BSK) as they were encouraged and challenged to share their faith and live their faith!
  • God worked in the hearts of kids and staff alike in our VBS: Mission Possible, during which kids learned about Paul's letter to the Romans and his mission to share the Good News of Christ with others, followed by the present-day example of our "God Squad" living out and sharing their faith with their friends - a mission that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, truly is POSSIBLE!
  • Mommies of infants-preschoolers enjoyed fellowship with one another while their little ones played during our Mommy Picnics and Winter Playdates.
  • Kids had fun and fellowship with one another and parents got a night to refresh and reconnect with one another at our first ever Kids Christmas Celebration/Parents Night Out!
  • Our Kids' Christmas Choir shared the message of Christmas and our hope in Jesus through their meaningful presentation of Angels Say What?!
  • Kids sang songs of praise and worship to our God the 1st Sunday of the month during 2nd service during our monthly Kids' Worship.
  • We focused on missions through Operation Christmas Child boxes and our Special Sunday School on Dec. 30, when kids learned from the lives of heroes of the faith.
  • And last, but not least, several children put their trust in Jesus throughout the year as their parents followed up with them from teachings shared at VBS, Sunday School, and at home in reading their family devotional. Praise God!
Thank you for partnering with us in guiding children toward a saving relationship with Christ and discipling them in their walk with Him. It is our privilege and blessing to teach your kids about the great God we serve Who sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from our sins, and what it means to know and love Him and be known and loved by Him. Read on for more information about what is ahead in Trinity Kids this month!

Kids' Worship: Januray 6
The first Sunday of the month during 2nd service Sunday School, our Trinity Kids gather in Room 116 for Kids' Worship to worship our Lord in song.

Sunday School
First service  is continuing in the New Testament (NT) chronologically. Every week they also learn "Where is the Gospel" in connection with the lesson. Ask your kids what they learned about the Gospel (the good news!) in Sunday School.
Second service  is continuing in the Old Testament (OT) chronologically. Every week they also learn "Where is Jesus" in connection with the lesson. Ask your kids what they learned about Jesus in the OT in Sunday School.
Family Follow Up
Sword Bible Memory
Hide God's Word in your heart! Help your kids memorize their Sword Bible Memory each month.
Family Advent Devotional Schedule
Continue exploring God's Word as a family through the companion family devotionals for both the New Testament and Old Testament. They are available for $10 on the Plaza!
BSK (Bible Study Kids)
We had a great semester studying the book of James. We look forward to growing in God's Word together next semester when BSK resumes January 24.

BSK is a kids' Bible Study where kids learn from the same book of the Bible their parents are studying in Brother to Brother and Sister to Sister, sing songs of worship, memorize scripture, and have fun while doing it! BSK meets during Sister to Sister Thursday mornings, 9:00-11:00 (infants-preschool and homeschool) and Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:30 (preschool-4th grade). If you have already registered your kids for BSK through your Sister to Sister registration, no need to register them again for the Spring semester. If you haven't already registered for Sister to Sister, please register your kids for BSK when you register for Sister to Sister.
Thrive  is our midweek group for 5th and 6th graders that meets on Thursdays in Room 117 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. (during Sister to Sister).  Join us when Thrive resumes on January 10!  Contact Connor (905-0146) with any questions or email Kristin at  to be put on the THRIVE email list!
Save the Dates!
  • Vacation Bible School (VBS): June 24-28, 2019, 9:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
