Trinity Kids Happenings
March 2019
A Note from Rachael
There is a lot on the horizon in Children's Ministries in the months ahead! Be sure to scroll down and see information about Wagon Train Summer Camp, VBS dates, and our Easter Devotional. You'll also see our regular link to this month's Sword Bible Memory verses. I encourage you to make time and space in your busy week to review the Sword Bible Memory verse(s) with your kids (and talk about what it means!). What a gift we offer our kids when we memorize God's Word - the opportunity to bring it to mind when we need it most.
Kids' Worship: March 3
The first Sunday of the month during 2nd service Sunday School, our Trinity Kids gather in Room 116 for Kids' Worship to worship our Lord in song.
Wagon Train Informational Meeting THIS Sunday!
Parents of current 3rd-5th graders, join us for our informational meeting in Rm. 116 this Sunday, March 3, at 12:15 p.m. to learn more about Wagon Train and how to register. Light lunch provided. To RSVP for the meeting email Kristin (KSmith@trinitycc.com).
Wagon Train Summer Camp (July 7-13, 2019)
At Wagon Train, your 4th-6th grader (as of fall 2019) has the opportunity to grow in their relationship with the Lord and in relationship with other Trinity kids while having lots of fun and sleeping under the stars in a covered wagon each night! I highly recommend Wagon Train and encourage you to request a sign-up link from Kristin soon by emailing her at: KSmith@trinitycc.comTrinity kids and their friends have priority during the month of March. Space is limited!
A Change in Nursery Ministries
Kim Zasso has served as our Director of Nursery Ministries for the past two years, and she has done a phenomenal job loving on our little ones and offering encouragement to parents. Kim is stepping out of this role, and Kimberly Schmucki is coming on as our new Director of Nursery Ministries. I am so grateful for Kim Zasso and the love and energy she has poured into this ministry. I also am excited for what Kimberly Schmucki will bring to this position as a mother of four with a heart for little ones and their families. Please share your appreciation for Kim and welcome Kimberly when you see them in the nursery together over the next couple of weeks!
Sunday School
First service  is continuing in the New Testament (NT) chronologically. Every week they also learn "Where is the Gospel" in connection with the lesson. Ask your kids what they learned about the Gospel (the good news!) in Sunday School.

Second service  is continuing in the Old Testament (OT) chronologically. Every week they also learn "Where is Jesus" in connection with the lesson. Ask your kids what they learned about Jesus in the OT in Sunday School.

Family Follow Up
Sword Bible Memory
Hide God's Word in your heart! Help your kids memorize their Sword Bible Memory each month.

Family Devotional Schedule
Continue exploring God's Word as a family through the companion family devotionals for both the New Testament and Old Testament. They are available for $10 on the Plaza!
Family Easter Devotional: Mission Accomplished
Mission Accomplished is a two-week devotional resource for families to focus on the purpose and implications of Jesus's atoning work. Copies will be available on the Plaza for $10 beginning March 17. The devotions begin on Palm Sunday, April 14.
Heart of Jesus Emphasis Sunday - March 17
We will be highlighting our Heart of Jesus ministry for families affected by disability on Sunday, March 17. You will hear testimony from one of our Heart of Jesus moms and learn more about opportunities to serve at Family Retreat at Wonder Valley. This would be a great Sunday to invite families you know who are affected by disability.
BSK (Bible Study Kids)
BSK is a Bible Study where kids learn from the same book of the Bible their parents are studying in Brother-to-Brother (B2B) and Sister-to-Sister (S2S). BSK includes singing songs of worship, memorizing scripture, and having fun while doing it! We meet during S2S Thursday mornings, 9:00-11:00 (infants-preschool; homeschool) and Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:30 (preschool-4th grade). We hope your kids will join us in our study of Judges as we learn to follow God alone.
Thrive
Thrive  is our midweek group for 5th and 6th graders that meets on Thursdays in Room 117 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. (during Sister-to-Sister).   Contact Connor (905-0146) with any questions or email Kristin at  KSmith@trinitycc.com  to be put on the THRIVE email list!
