Trinity Messenger

May 25, 2026

Many thanks to the Rev. Link Hullar for celebrating with us this past Sunday. He will return on Sunday May 31 for Mass with Holy Eucharist.

Our Coffee Hour was particularly red for Pentecost - lotsa watermelon and strawberries!

Adult Formation

We continue to discuss brief readings from Following the Call: Living the Sermon on the Mount.

May 31 - Reading 51: Building on the Rock

June 7 - Reading 52: Our Final Authority

To get a PDF copy of the readings, please email Bobby Naeher at robertnaeher@gmail.com. We also have paper copies available each week.

All are welcome, and completing the reading ahead of time, while helpful, is not a requirement. We all benefit when multiple voices are heard!

Help Wanted: Assistance in the upkeep, improvements, repairs and general maintenance of Trinity Torrington’s campus.

Our incredibly knowledgeable and willing Building Warden, Gary Grant, is seeking some assistance in the many tasks which are required to keep our campus running.

Because while Gary is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to do what needs to be done, he is also one person.

So if you can help to get estimates, oversee projects, do small projects yourself (or with a friend) and generally lend a hand, we need your help.

A willingness to learn the ins and outs of the Trinity Campus and a Can-Do attitude are a must.

(As an FYI, Gary is a great person with whom to work – you’ll enjoy yourself!)

Please contact Gary Grant at church or Lydia Babbitt at lydiadbabbitt@gmail.com (or at church).

COFFEE HOUR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We definitely need some people to step forward and host Coffee Hour. It's very easy and very appreciated! Just sign up for a date, then bring in some snacks (home-made or store-bought), set up the table, percolate percolate percolate, then clean up.

If you have any questions, please ask Ella, Tiffany or Richard. The sign-up is in the Upper Parish Hall.

Are you new to Trinity Church? Have you been here for decades? Are you somewhere in between?

No matter how long you have been here, please wear your name badge!

Not only is it the welcoming and friendly thing to do, but we owe it to ALL of our visiting clergy!

“But how to I get one?”, you ask?

Simply sign up on the clipboard on the table on the way into the sanctuary!

Please print clearly and your button will be ready in a week or so!

Thank you!

I WANT

YOU

TO WEAR

YOUR NAME BUTTON!

New scams are hitting churches in CT and we ALL need to be aware and careful.

Emails requesting the purchase and sending of gift cards are rife and hitting churches throughout the Diocese.

NO ONE at Trinity Torrington will ever ask you to send them gift cards for anything. Please DO NOT fall for this scam!

Also, scammers are asking for copies of Parish Directories. Never give out this information!

If you receive an email asking for any of this information, DELETE, DELETE, DELETE!

If you think an email could be a legitimate request from a fellow parishioner, pick up the phone and call them to confirm their request in person.

This Week at Trinity!
