Worship

Please join us on each Sunday at 10am for our in-person worship. Bring family and friends! All are welcome! Church school classes resumed, so watch our calendar for updates to the dates church school will be held for both age groups.

S.D.H.C Mini Food Pantry

S.D.H.C. Mini Food Pantry: Trinity has been in charge of filling and maintaining it in September. We have been alternating months with Resurrection church of Fishkill and Fishkill Nazarene.

Thanks to everyone who supports this important outreach by volunteering to help and by donating food.

Lost and Found

If you have only one silver earing to wear, check our lost and found board to see if one of the two found matches your single earing. There are currently two different earrings on the board.

Parish Life

Sunday Sept. 13, 2026 was the kickoff day for gathering our parish and friends. Due to rain our church service and annual picnic was moved from Bowdoin Park to Trinity. Fr. Michael Phillips led us in worship. Chefs Connie and Don grilled out burgers and dogs for our picnic in the parish hall. Cliff's band entertained us with British oldies and got us up, dancing, and singing along. We enjoyed plenty of good food and fun!!!!

If you accidentally took a black REI raincoat instead of your Goodfellow raincoat on Sunday after the festivities, would you please exchange them on the coat hangers in the parish hall coat rack. This exchange would be greatly appreciated.

Also someone's navy blue umbrella was also taken by mistake on September 20th. If you accidentally took that, please return it to the parish hall.

SDEC News

Let us know if you like the SDEC logo above or if you have an idea submit yours soon to Fr. Kramer.

As we begin the new SDEC, Pam Bunker will be starting a process of sharing event information to be posted in each parish. With that said, Pam will be obtaining the name and number for any interested contact person from each parish. This is a good way to develop interaction and fellowship with all three parishes. She can be reached at (845) 204-4572 or mommybee10@hotmail.com.

We have also started the process of the development of the three member Trinity Search Committee (each of our three SDEC churches will have a Search Committee) by asking Trinity's vestry for a volunteer to represent Trinity. Nancy Drennan accepted the challenge and presented the request for one more volunteer from the parish. She did receive one interested person at this time, and we will continue to notify parishioners of the request as several were absent on Sunday.

Trinity Book Club

Trinity Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at Trinity Episcopal Church’s Parish Hall, 5 Elm Street, Fishkill, NY. Please call, or text, Pam Bunker at (845) 204-4572 to let her know if you would like to join.

Our next meeting will be October 6th and we will discuss “The Correspondent” by Virginia Evans.

Bishop Heyd Monday Notes

Last week diocesan Council approved the 2027 diocesan budget.

The budget displays our values. We exist to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our local communities, clergy, and lay leaders. Two years ago we set Mission Priorities that keep us local. We organize renewal with each congregation where it actually is. And each year, we put our people, our money, and our attention behind next steps towards renewal.

Over the last two years we began to re-weave our pastoral fabric around our local communities. We re-structured our staff and our budget to focus locally. We began reform of our finances through the Common Mission Share and through creation of regional endowments.

  • These shifts embody an Anglican ethos that celebrates local expressions of the Gospel and common mission together.
  • Our Roman Catholic siblings describe this ecclesiology as subsidiarity and solidarity. Over the last century Anglican theologians from William Temple to Stephen Fielding Bayne have arrived at our own expression of local ministry that’s also shared across wider community.
  • The Holy Spirit moves at ground level— and we are stronger together.
  • Our budget now reflects mutual responsibility and interdependence. Every congregation in the Diocese of New York has accepted the Common Mission Share.

Our shared purpose is local mission. The diocesan budget is only one part of how we fund it — the rest happens in 172 congregations. So renewal has to reach congregational budgets also. This fall we're asking:

  •  Health Insurance. Church Pension Group announced a 14% increase for health insurance for next year, which will strain congregational budgets. Clericus deans and regional canons are scheduling meetings across the Diocese starting this week to explore how to mitigate the changes.
  •  Property. All our congregations face increased property costs. Next week, we’ll announce new guidelines for property grants that will double congregational grants. Trustees of the Diocese approved last week.
  •  Hunger. Feeding programs across the Diocese are experiencing longer lines because of higher food and gas costs for guests— and our program food costs are going up, too. We’re exploring how to raise money this fall for local programs.

We’ll hold these conversations as we prepare for diocesan Convention in November. More information about the 2027 budget is included below. We’ll spotlight different aspects in the coming weeks.

Grace & Peace,
