Special Notice This Week!

There will be No Café Trinity on this Sunday, June 26th. Also, no parking will be available in the William Street parking lot.

These changes are necessary so that Barber Hall may be used for the Rise Against Hunger meal packing event.

Refreshments will be available on the lawn following the 8:00 am service. There will also be snacks and water available in the Lounge at 11:00 am for the Rise Against Hunger Volunteers.
Pride Parade: This Saturday, June 25th!

Join us at Pride Parade representing Trinity! We will meet at City Dock at 9:30 am. The parade begins at 10 am.

We also have a booth at the Pride Festival! It will be open from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm. Please drop on by, visit with new friends, and say "hello!"

Our Rise Against Hunger meal packing event will take place on Sunday, June 26th from 11:30-1:30 pm in Barber Hall. We will pack 10,000 meals that will be used in the fight against world hunger. We are looking forward to enjoying fun and fellowship with all the volunteers who have signed up to participate in packing the meals. There will be water and snacks available for volunteers at 11:00 in Barber Hall. If you have a Trinity tee shirt, this would be a great day to wear it!

There will be no Cafe Trinity on June 26th and no parking space available in the lower lot, because Barber Hall will be used for the packing event that day.

Surprise Birthday Celebration

On Sunday, June 19th, the Trinity Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew gave a surprise birthday celebration in Barber Hall to the two most senior chapter members, Adrian Smith and Selby McCash. Adrian’s birthday was June 18th and Selby’s is July 1st.

John Henze, Chapter Director, provided brief remarks followed by a special Brotherhood prayer for the two birthday brothers. He emphasized that both Adrian and Selby are very active in the Brotherhood and at Trinity. 
Attendees sang “Happy Birthday” and then were treated to custom-made cakes. The Chapter also gave special birthday gifts: a Brotherhood tie to Adrian and a Brotherhood cap to Selby.

   Selby said the recognition really touched his heart. Adrian said he was very thankful for the honor. 
Six-Week Bible Study: The Gospel of Mark

Beginning June 15th, join us for a six-week Bible study of The Gospel of Mark. This Bible study is open to all ages and not limited to Trinity members! Bring a friend, have dinner, and let's talk "the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God."

We'll gather Wednesdays at 5:30 pm in the Loft (upstairs in Jameson Hall) for "brown bag" dinner and hold discussion of Mark's Gospel form 6-7 pm.

Please make sure to bring your own dinner. Ice tea and water will be available.

Please bring your favorite version of The New Testament or use a Bible from our wonderful library here at Trinity! Bring any questions, wonderings, curiosity, and doubt!

All are welcome!
Interfaith Community Council:
School Dressing Days 2022

Please help us make School Dressing Days 2022 run smoothly by volunteering to help set-up on July 28th and during the event on July 29th and 30th from 9 am to 3 pm. 

The School Dressing Days Committee is busy preparing for this event for children in Head Start through Grade 5. Our member organizations are collecting clothing, school supplies, toiletries and backpacks.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make your check out to: The Interfaith Community Council and write "SDD" on the memo line. Checks may be mailed to: P.O. Box 1336 Fredericksburg, VA 22402-1336.

Blessings in a Backpack

Another school year has come and gone. And I am happy to report there were no interruptions during this school year as there were last year.

The hearty team consisting of John and Leigh Henze; Claire Curcio; Maggie Lacy; Michael Hubbard; Paige Kerby; Carol Walker; Jim Ripley; and Nancy Griswold with occasional help from Selby and Fred or one of Nancy’s grandchildren.

Each Wednesday afternoon the team gathered to bag up food packs and boxes of Mac & Cheese and on occasion a treat and a card. Over the next eight months John or Jim would deliver approximately 3,096 bags to the children of Rocky Run School.

This was all a part of the National effort which answered the question of: who will feed the children this weekend? 

Here are just a few words from Allison Adams, Rocky Run’s School Counselor: the students look forward to their bags each week and this is what they are saying:

“I can’t wait to take my bag home!”
“ I love my food bag!”
“People that give me the bags are so kind!”
“I really like Mac-n-Cheese!”
