The mission of Trinity Church is to share Christ's love and grace in a vibrant community whose joyful spirit empowers people to do God's work.

Dear ones,

Thank you for the drive-by welcome. It was a treat to meet so many people and begin the lovely work of getting acquainted. As a priest, teacher, and preacher, the chance to meet the people I am called to serve was such a gift. Thank you for your generosity of spirit and for the wonderful notes and photos included in the cards. It is my great honor to be with you and serve as director. I look forward to more days when we can be together. Until then, guard your own health and the health of your neighbor.

Blessings and love,
Mother Cynthia+

It is not too late to join the Lenten series discussions of Bishop Michael Curry’s latest book, Love is the Way; Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times.

Trinity parishioners will meet online via Zoom during Lent to discuss the book. Even if you haven’t read the book you are welcome to join us for the discussions. So that everyone will have an opportunity to participate, we will have two groups for conversation. There will be a group that meets on Monday mornings for five weeks from 10:30 to about 11:45am, beginning on February 22nd. You may sign up for this group here. The second group will meet for five weeks on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to about 8:15pm, beginning on February 24th. You may sign up for this group here.

The book may be purchased from Amazon and from Barnes and NobleIt is also available as an audio book from Audible.  If you have any questions, or need assistance purchasing a book, please contact Mother Cynthia at or Sam Burton at

Lectio Divina simply refers to the prayerful reading of holy scripture. We will meet as a small group on Thursday mornings to read, pray, share and listen as the Spirit leads. There is still time to join us. Sign up to receive your email Zoom invitation here. Please bring your Bible and, if you’re a note taker, you may want to have paper and pen handy.
We look forward to growing in community as we discern God’s word for us today. Why not join us in this time of holy listening? Questions about Lectio Divina? Contact Robin Barrett at

TRINITY’S GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP will hold our monthly meeting on Monday, March 15, 2021 over ZOOM from 10:30 - noon. None of us escapes grieving. Sooner or later our losses demand that we acknowledge the pain regardless of how deeply we have buried it. Facing and sharing our grief provides a time proven way to do the work that enables us to again know contentment and, yes, even joy. For more information, contact Randall Clingenpeel at 540-207-0600 or Ruth Brancolini at 540-760-6636. The Zoom access numbers are: ID: 994 8002 5394 and the Passcode is 6YiW22

Announcing 2021 Camps Dates
Shrine Mont Camps is excited to offer both in-person and online camp experiences this Summer. Camp leaders have been hard at work for many months, consulting with medical professionals and other camps professionals across the country to design camps that will be fun and safe for all. And, building on the success of last summer, Shrine Mont Camps will again offer Light in the Valley, an online camp where campers can make friends, play and worship together from home.
Registration will open March 23 but you can check out camp dates today. SMC is also asking camper families to provide feedback via this survey, which will help inform ongoing plans and preparations for the 2021 summer camps.
Scholarships are available. Please contact Mother Cynthia at

Episcopal Toolkit for COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution
The Episcopal Church’s Office of Government Relations has developed a toolkit for individuals, congregations and ministries to facilitate and promote COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the United States. This toolkit promotes the ongoing work that parishes and dioceses have already been doing, shares best practices, and offers ideas for ways that communities can help U.S.- based Episcopalians to facilitate vaccination, overcome vaccine hesitancy, and find information from state and local officials. Churches and church leaders (lay and ordained) can serve as an important trusted bridge between public health officials and communities.
