Trinity Welcomes The Very Rev. Dr. Gary Hall
Our former Interim Rector, Gary Hall, also Retired Dean of the Washington National Cathedral and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary will be with us as our guest preacher at both services on June 12.

Special Coffee Hour after the 10am service Celebrating John and Anna Campbell
Join us for refreshments outside on the Labyrinth after the 8am service, and after the 10am, we will celebrate John and Anna Campbell's renewal of vows for their 60th wedding anniversary. There will be music by Kate Wallace and Doug Clegg, and cake!

Meal Ministry in the Park
Thursday, June 23, 3-8pm
Join us on the fourth Thursday of the month as we partner with Trinity Lutheran Church to provide, prepare, and serve a meal to our unhoused neighbors in Alameda Park. We will be participating in the Neighborhood Navigation Center, which is an ongoing service at the park. Check the volunteer sign up for current opportunities.

Summer Sacred Arts
This Sunday, June 12
For families with children attending the 10am worship service, Summer Sacred Arts starts as early as 9:45am in the Guild Hall. Diana Small, Director of Children and Youth will lead the children in puppet making and theatrical play.

Help Clear Out Trinity's Kitchen
Now that we are having more events in person, we've collected a variety of platters, bowls, baskets, and utensils that don’t belong on the countertops of the Trinity kitchen. Please check the table at coffee hour for something you might have left behind. We’ll be donating any remaining items to Goodwill on June 20.

Volunteer Opportunity
Summer Sacred Arts
June 12 - September 4
Perhaps you have a creative project to share with the children (visual art, music, sciences, anything creative that piques the spiritual curiosity of the child). Check the sign-up sheet at coffee hour on Sundays or email Diana Small at dsmall@trinitysb.org if you are interested. Volunteers would need to arrive by 9:45am and assist helping the children for roughly an hour, until communion time.

Home Communion
If you would like to receive the Eucharist, but are not coming to Trinity for worship, call (805)965-7419 or email the office to request home communion. One of our eucharistic visitors will set up a time to bring communion to your home.

Year-Round Stewardship
The vestry has asked parish lay leaders to give testimonials at Sunday services. This Sunday, we welcome new parishioner, and chair of our Welcome ministry, Elizabeth Patterson to the pulpit. Read the May 8 testimonial from Junior Warden Stephen Singleton.

Initiatives Committee Survey Results and Forum Recap
The survey results from 109 parishioners were delivered at Trinity parish forums on May 22. The forums attracted about 100 people who heard a presentation of the survey results and then discussed the entire effort in small groups. Several people at those forums raised their hands to volunteer to be the organizers of various initiatives. The additional input from those forums have been combined with the survey results and are presented in this document.

Celebrate PRIDE with our friends at PFLAG. This month they will be touching upon the history and meaning behind Pride month and why LGBTQIA+ representation and inclusion is so important.

News from the Diocese and the Wider Church | |
Two celebrations on June 26 will mark Pride Month in the Diocese of Los Angeles.
St. John's Cathedral will hold a special 10am Sunday service in honor of Pride Month and 30 years of diocesan LGBTQ+ ministry. Music will be provided by the Trans Chorus of L.A. The Rev. Canon Melissa McCarthy, canon to the ordinary, will preach. St. John's is located at 514 W. Adams Blvd., Los Angeles. Proof of full Covid vaccination is required.
That afternoon, the LGBTQ+ ministry of the diocese invites all to the post-Covid return of its annual Garden Party, 2 -5pm at the Episcopal Residence in Pasadena. For reservations, email gleamlainfo@gmail.com. Address and parking details will be sent by return email.
