Volume 27
August 2021
Summer Stated Meeting

Tuesday August 24th- 9:30 a.m.

Registration information and the meeting link was sent with the Commissioners’ Handbook on Friday, August 13th to all clergy and clerks of session. There will be supplemental documents to the handbook, which will be sent as soon as they become available.

Trinity Disaster Assistance Team (TDAT) had their first meeting earlier this month. Many of our congregations have disaster preparedness and response plans, but many do not.

TDAT needs input from all of our congregations in order to assess the needs and make plans going forward.
If you have not done so already, please take a moment to respond to the questions in this short survey.

Thank you.

Moving Together
Healthy Seminarians - Healthy Church
3rd Annual Miles for Ministry Fundraiser
October 1 - 3, 2021
This year for our annual Miles for Ministry fundraiser, we're challenging our individual and community supporters to both move together and give together with our Moving Together Challenge.

When you donate or register for the challenge, you will be signed up to receive a weekly motivation written by people from the HSHC community (scripture verse, short reflection, and questions for contemplation) as well as health tips on each of the 5 Wednesdays in September leading up to our Miles for Ministry fundraiser weekend.
Migrant Ministry-
Another Successful Year
Pete Eckert, member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, and volunteer for the Migrant Ministry Program, reported that packets were delivered to the 200 workers in the camps of the two farms. The men and women appreciated the gift cards for food, as well as daily devotional books (written in Spanish), Bibles and clothing. Pete prepared a statement, in Spanish, for the workers, stating that we hope to be able to return to sharing meals and fellowship with them next summer. We want to thank those churches and individuals who contributed to the 2021 Migrant Ministry Fund (Father's Day Offering), and/or provided food gift cards, Bibles and clothing. Special thanks to Pete Eckert who ordered the devotional materials and delivered all the items to the workers.
