God Sends the Holy Spirit
What is the Trinity?
Trinity Sunday
On the first Sunday after Pentecost we celebrate Trinity Sunday - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Bible explains to us that God is formed from these three parts. Have you ever eaten an apple? If you cut an apple in half, you can see that it is made of three parts - the skin, the flesh, and the seeds. Each part is different but they are all apple, just like Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all one God.

  • The skin is like God, protecting us.
  • The flesh is like Jesus who took on human flesh to teach us.
  • The seeds are like the Holy Spirit, because through it we grow in faith.

Watch the videos above to learn about the Holy Spirit and the Trinity. Use the following questions from Children's Chapel leader Brett Rutledge to guide a discussion of the story:

  • Why do you think God told the disciples to wait to be saved?
  • What made the disciples speak different languages?
  • Who spoke up to remind us about Jesus?
  • What three parts make up one God?
Trinity Sunday Oobleck
Today we celebrate Trinity Sunday - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
In the video above, Director of Children's Education Mary Beth Tipton demonstrates how to make Oobleck. Is it a solid? Is it a liquid? It's both! Send us pictures of your creations!

We miss seeing all of our Church School families and hope all of you are healthy and safe. Please reach out to us with any needs. CSMSG services are available daily via Facebook Live and the Sunday service is posted at csmsg.org by 10 am each Sunday.
