Trinity is happy to announce that our Deanery, the Capital Deanery of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California, has begun a newsletter to keep the churches in the deanery connected and to offer programs to bring us together and enrich our faith. Trinity Tidings co-editor and co-Senior Warden is thrilled with this inclusion, especially in light of our uncertain future. We can begin to connect to Episcopal churches around us.

Contemplative Circle
Sunday, September 24, 4:00
Martha and David are hosting our monthly Contemplative Circle in the Trinity sanctuary on Sunday, Srpyrmber 24. The circle opens at 4:00 and is followed by fellowship and eats in the social hall.
If you wonder about the Contemplative Circle, it is the expression of hunger for a more direct experience of our inner sense of the Divine, without the mediation of traditional theological structure.
It features elements of silence in which to go inward, readings to seed these pauses, and evocative music and chant to both enliven the inner and express our connectedness. Our resources are taken from various spiritual traditions in the belief that these can enrich each other. In a typical circle you might hear from a modern Celtic poet, an ancient Sufi poet, a Franciscan mystic or a Buddhist, among others.
The circle itself emphasizes the “ inner,” but we see this also as an opportunity for greeting friends and making new ones. After quietly leaving the circle, participants are welcomed to a social/snacking time in Jane's Hall.
Come and see!
We hope you will join us.

The Parousia School for Awakening
(Wisdom School)
Fall 2023
We are a group of seekers and finders (and everything in between) who desire a deeper experience of God, reality, ourselves, and one another through the contemplative and interactive pursuit of wisdom.
If you are touched or inspired by the thoughts of minds like those of William James, Erwin Schrödinger, and Henri Bergson, please join us in our Wisdom School, which showcases the profound insight of these and other great sages in our practices and exercises.
If you are planning to attend one of our meetings, please let Seraphim know in advance.
We now feature a weekly column in the Ledger Dispatch called "Wisdom and Wonder."
