Mark Your Calendars! Super Bowl Chili Cook-Off February 8th
It is that time again! Time to pull out the old chili recipe or find a new one that you can bring to the Trinity Annual Chili cook-off! Mike Hilyard won last year and will be gunning for two in a row. I know you all can knock him off and become the Champion! Practice those chilis and bring them on Sunday, February 8th at 6:00 PM. Not only will we have chili we will also be watching the big game! We hope to see you all and have some wonderful chili!
Sign up below to bring chili, fixings, or to help out!
A Suggestion from the Green Team
When you come to the Chili Cook Off on Sunday evening, bring your own muffin tin. Why? So you can put the samples of the chili in each well of your tin. You will then not have to use all of the little paper cups in order to sample the chilis. Once you have used each well in your tin, you can easily rinse your muffin tin in the usher’s room and reuse it. This idea came from another church, and we think it would be a wonderful thing for all of us to adopt. Hope to see you with your muffin tin in hand on Sunday evening!

Appassionato Choir in Concert - February 14, 2026
Where Love Abides
This Valentine’s weekend, Appassionato Choir invites audiences to experience Where Love Abides, a moving choral concert series that explores love in its many forms—romantic, communal, and enduring—through richly expressive music.
The program features choral works spanning centuries and styles, including music by Johannes Brahms, Eric Whitacre, Elaine Hagenberg, Ola Gjeilo, and other composers whose music reflects themes of devotion, hope, and human connection. Together, these works create an intimate musical experience especially fitting for the Valentine’s season.
In keeping with Appassionato Choir’s mission of service, both performances will collect donations benefiting the Lumpkin County Middle School Choral Program. Contributions will help support student travel scholarships and the purchase of a new classroom sound system, strengthening music education for young singers in our community.

Lilburn Co-Op Run the Reagan Opportunity
Our former Board President and long-time volunteer, Melvin Everson has had serious health challenges this past year. He is currently recovering at the Shepherd Center. Melvin has done so much for the LCM and many of our volunteers have asked how we can show our respect and support.
Melvin has been our liaison with the Run the Reagan event for many, many years. This year to honor him we are asking you to register for the one mile Fun Run and Walk a Mile for Melvin. Stop in the day of the race at the refreshment table and get your Mile for Melvin ribbon. After the walk, we will meet back at the refreshment table and say a prayer for his healing and well-being.
Join us on February 21st. The start time is 10:30. Register at www.RuntheReagan.net.

Love Offering For February - Inspiritus
Inspiritus guides individuals and families on a path from surviving to thriving. We empower those whose lives have been disrupted to discover their strengths and resilience, accompanying them as they grow into vibrant contributors to their community.
Inspiritus is based in downtown Atlanta. In addition to providing oversight for the Inspiritus statewide network, our Atlanta office primarily serves the metro Atlanta counties, and is conveniently located near several major hospitals, from which we receive many referrals, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Scottish Rite, CHOA Egleston, Dekalb Medical, and Grady Hospital. Our Atlanta Refugee Services also serves the city of Clarkston, which has one of the largest refugee populations in the country. Because of our location, we are able to reach a wide number of families and individuals, helping them transform their lives by bringing families together, keeping families together, and helping those in need build new lives.
