Churchwide Texts
The church office is working on a way to text the congregation as a whole. With the increased use of texting over email, it is an important tool to get information to folks on occasion, as well as in a timely manner.
We are working with a program called Gloo. When you receive a text from the church, it will likely show up as:
1 (833) 393-4613
Message from Trinity Lutheran Church
(see image below)
If you want, you can then save this number to your contacts as Trinity Texts and it will show up the next time as what you save it as.
If you do not receive a text on Saturday, April 25, please contact the church office at 770-972-4418 or kristy.perkins@tlc-lilburn.org to be added to the list.
**Please do not respond to texts from the church - they are informational only!

Exciting News from The Green Team
We reached our goal of collecting 1000 pounds of plastic and have received a bench! Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve this goal, and for keeping 1000 pounds of plastic out of landfills.
We will no longer be collecting plastic towards a goal. However, we can continue to collect plastic as a convenience for you if we have your help. We need people who are willing to take the plastic from the bin at church to a drop off location such as Publix, Target, or Walmart and put the plastic in the bins there. If you are willing to help, please use this Sign Up Genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F4DA9AC2BA2FB6-63804931-plastic#/ If you have questions about what is involved, please contact Becky White at 404-789-5468 (talk or text).
Alternatively, we encourage you to take the plastic with you when you shop and drop it off. And, as always, the best option of all is to refuse plastic bags and packaging whenever and wherever you can!

New Share Table starting May 10
The “Books” Share Table has ended. Please do not bring more books for the Share Table. The NEXT Share Table is “Summer Fun”. Think outdoor toys and games, picnic supplies, sand toys, etc. This Share Table will open on Mother’s Day, May 10. So, check around and see what you might have to share, and then be sure to stop at the share table to see what you might like to take home. Let’s keep the sharing going!

Ways to Give
Given the issues with the USPS recently, we wanted to touch on ways to give to the church online. If you prefer to give to the church via check, please bring it on Sunday and place in the offering plate, or drop off in the church office during business hours.
-
Use Simply Giving, an automated giving program. Download enrollment form and return to the office.
-
Send money via Zelle. Add recipient Trinity Lutheran Church with the email ap@tlc-lilburn.org. Use the memo line to indicate what/why you are giving to the church.
Please contact Kristy Perkins at kristy.perkins@tlc-lilburn.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Love Offering For May - Grace House Ministry at Georgia Tech
Our love offering for May will be the Grace House Ministry at Georgia Tech. All monies collected will go toward those planning to attend seminary or are currently in seminary to pursue a career in ministry.
Grace House is a radically welcoming and inclusive community advocacy ministry that inspires, equips, and engages our campus by modeling Jesus’ love, service, and compassion.
Grace [Coffee] House is a joint ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and the Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We proudly serve the Georgia Tech community in Atlanta, Georgia.
It may seem on the surface that our welcome is just a cup of coffee but really, our welcome is hope. Hope is needed in a world that seems fraught with division and hope is needed in the lives of Georgia Tech students. Hope that they will see the other side of a looming midterm, hope that at some point a social life will return, hope that all this hard work is going to be worth it, hope that one day they might have time to sleep, or hope that there is someplace they can still go to get a free cup of coffee, a smile, and for someone to ask “how’s your week going?”. We want to live into that hope for students in all that we do.
For more information, please visit: https://gracepeople.org/
