Did you know that small groups, families, and confirmands from Trinity have been providing monthly dinners for the residents and staff of the Home of Hope (formerly called the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter) for over ten years? The Home of Hope provides residence and services for Gwinnett’s homeless children and young mothers, as well as young women who age out of the foster care system at age 18.

Big thanks to Raylene Pressley for providing the meal in May!!

Our gratitude also goes out to the groups who have volunteered to organize the upcoming donations!

Ways to Give

Given the issues with the USPS recently, we wanted to touch on ways to give to the church online. If you prefer to give to the church via check, please bring it on Sunday and place in the offering plate, or drop off in the church office during business hours.

  • Use Simply Giving, an automated giving program. Download enrollment form and return to the office.

  • Send money via Zelle. Add recipient Trinity Lutheran Church with the email ap@tlc-lilburn.org. Use the memo line to indicate what/why you are giving to the church.

Please contact Kristy Perkins at kristy.perkins@tlc-lilburn.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Help Needed for Members of Good Samaritan Ministries

Over the past few years, we have partnered with Good Samaritan Ministries and Pastor Crispin in various ways. As you may know, Good Samaritan Ministries is a church primarily made up of refugees. While all of the refugees in Good Samaritan Ministries have come to the United States legally, recent funding cuts have greatly impacted their ability to have what they need to survive. In particular, Pastor Crispin has four single mothers who do not have what they need to support their families. Should you feel led to help, below you will see the list of basic needs that they are requesting help with. If you are able to donate any of the items below, it would be greatly appreciated. Please bring your donations to Trinity and place them in the bin marked Refugee Help.

After talking to our brothers and sisters, here is the list of basic needs:

1. Bags of rice

2. Dry beans

3. Diapers (baby of 8 months)

4. Vegetable oil

5. Sugar & Salt

6. Onions & Garlic

7. Cleaning supplies

9. Feminine hygiene supplies

10. Soap/Body lotion/Shampoo/Deodorant

Love Offering for May - NovusWay Scholarship Fund for Summer Camp

We welcome all who seek God’s love and grace in an outdoor ministry setting. We welcome all as God welcomes all, regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, family status, socio-economic circumstances, physical or mental abilities or citizenship. Our unity is in Christ.

Each of our three locations showcases a beautiful setting to reconnect with nature and Jesus. A ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, rooted in the Christian faith, we welcome all to share in the experience of our community. Built to become closer to God, we see your time away here as a chance to refresh before going back into the world to make a difference.

Gifts to the NovusWay Scholarship Fund help campers who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to come to camp, experience a week away with God.
