2023 Homeless Resource Fair

The second Annual Homeless Resource Fair is at Detert Park in Jackson on Sunday.

Dozens of organizations will gather together in a horse shoe of services, providing a central area within for group activities, community fellowship and the distribution of clothing and relevant gear. Six meals will be provided, donated by local businesses who are committed to meeting the evolving needs of our rural community.

This event serves to bring local service agencies, community and faith-based organizations together in one place connecting them with local folks who need them most.

During the duration of this event, the park is approved of by the City of Jackson as a Safe-Sleep place for individuals in tents or cars.

The event will be held from 8AM on Sunday 6PM Monday.

Contemplative Circle

Sunday May 28, 4:00

Martha and David are hosting in the Trinity sanctuary our first Contemplative Circle. They have been researching and preparing since January for this special form of meditation.

Taken from Celtic tradition, it features elements of silence in which to go inward, readings to seed the contemplative pauses, and evocative music to both enliven the inner and express our connection. Resources are taken from various spiritual traditions in the belief that these elements enrich each other.

While the circle emphasizes the inner, this can also be an opportunity to greet friends and make new ones, after the circle concludes. Following the closing bell, participants can remain in meditation/prayer, or walk quietly out and proceed to Jane's Hall for refreshment and socializing. Contact Martha for more information.(marthadrobbins@gmail.com).
