Our New Presiding Bishop
November 1st, the Rt. Rev. Sean Rowe will become our 28th presiding bishop for a nine-year term following Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, who has completed his nine-year tenure. The Presiding Bishop is the face and voice of The Episcopal Church and its chief pastor.
The Rt. Rev. Rowe was most recently the bishop of Northwest Pennsylvania and bishop provisional of Western New York. He becomes the youngest bishop to serve as the church’s presiding bishop.
November 2, the investiture of Presiding Bishop-elect Sean Rowe will be a churchwide virtual event at 11am, ET. The livestream will be featured on The Episcopal Church’s event website and the Episcopal Church Facebook page, with a prelude featuring a diocesan “roll call” at 9:30 a.m, ET. Presiding
Bishop Michael Curry invites the entire church to join in this special event.

Las Posadas Candlelight Walk
Sutter Creek
Saturday, December 7
Join us for our annual ecumenical candlelight walk, Saturday December 7, at 6:00pm. This year a special guest will join us, Rev. Julie Wakelee, Canon to the Ordinary for Bishop Megan.
Follow Joseph and Mary on her donkey as they make their way through town looking for shelter. This beautiful candlelight procession will wind its way from the Immaculate Conception Church, down Spanish Street, to Main Street where it will end at the stable in front of the Methodist Church.
Everyone is invited to join in the procession, singing familiar Christmas carols and listening to the narration of this ancient story.
Cookies and hot beverages will be served in the Methodist social hall following the procession.
Meet at the Immaculate Conception Church (Spanish and Amelia Streets) at 6:00pm for a candle and a song booklet. Dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes to enjoy this unique experience.
We need volunteers to join in the fun — whether you can bake cookies, help organize, sing in the choir, or simply participate in the procession, we want you to be part of this unforgettable night.
ANY child who wishes to participate as a character in the drama may do so as a shepherd, angel, or animal (or bring a stuffed animal).
For more information contact Leisa Blakeman, Event Coordinator, at (916) 524-3908 or leisablakeman@gmail.com

Calling for Candidates for 2025 Vestry
& Convention Delegates
Our regular Vestry is nine seats. We currently have seven seats filled. Vestry members have a three-year term, staggered so that three members come off the Vestry and can be replaced with three new members each year.
Members retiring this year are Steve Russell, Co-Senior warden, Steve Christensen, and Carol Holt, Treasurer (however, Carol can remain treasurer).
That leaves David Hoos (2026), Co-Sr. Warden, Julie Mathis (2025), Jr. Warden, Nancy Moore, (2026), Treasurer, and Jennifer Putnam (2026) remaining on the Vestry.
Our by-laws allow for a minimum of five on the Vestry. We are going into 2025 with four members and five vacancies. If we cannot seat five Vestry members, or more, Trinity's status in the Diocese will change, requiring more management from the Diocese, according to canons and by-laws.
Please prayerfully consider joining the Vestry in 2025 to help ensure Trinity will remain active in our community. We vote for Vestry members at the annual meeting January 19.
Trinity must also send three delegates to the Annual Diocese Convention. Please consider becoming a Candidate for 2025 Convention Delegate.
Please contact David or Steve R, if you interested in becoming a Vestry Member or Convention Delegate or email srwarden@trinitysuttercreek.org.
