Visiting Priest Rev. Karen Lawler
will say Eucharist October 3
Rev. Karen Lawler, OEF was ordained to the priesthood in 2020 and is a professed member of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans. Her passions in ministry include providing pastoral care to people dealing with health issues, connecting with the sacred through music, facilitating spiritual practices which promote gratitude, hope and resilience and accompanying those on the margins in the work of justice. Karen’s seminary education was at Church Divinity School of the Pacific and Christ the King Seminary. She served in campus and parish ministry prior to working in healthcare for many years.
We invite you to welcome Rev. Lawler and celebrate Eucharist on Sunday in the church at 9:30

Announcements
Trinity Website Change
You may have noticed our website looks different--the tabs have changed and content has been removed.
We experienced a loss of structure when our website company's service provider had a migration failure. Huh?
Bottom line: our website company still has all of our files, however the structure of our website will have to be rebuilt. The Trinity technical team will redo the website as we are able. In the process of rebuilding, we will redesign the website and add in only relevant content.
This presents an opportunity for you to make it more useful! Please let us know what you would like to see on the website, or how we can make it easier for you to use. Email Trinity at office@trinitysuttercreek.org with your ideas and suggestions.
Meanwhile, basic information can be found on the home/welcome page including all links for worship--Zoom, readings, music, and booklets-- along with all links to Vespers resources. If there is anything of immediate importance that needs to be restored, let us know at office@trinitysuttercreek.org

Reminder to Always Dial Area Code!
Even though we are dialing a local phone number, we will have to include the area code when calling locally.
On and after October 24, 2021, local calls dialed with only seven-digits may not be completed and a recording will say the call cannot be completed. In California, you may be required to dial the number "1" before the area code and seven-digit phone number for local calls.
Start dialing 10 digits now to be prepared!
For more information visit the FCC website.

Speaking for Hospitalized Patients Who Can’t
[Episcopal News Service] During the COVID-19 pandemic, Elizabeth Tracey was bothered by another kind of suffering: the dehumanization of care for patients who were intubated and could not speak. Wanting to restore a personal connection between patients and medical staff, she developed an audio system that helps doctors and nurses get to know their patients through the voices of their loved ones.

Trinity Guidelines
for Worship in the Church
  • Masking— we can provide a mask
  • Signing in—for now (for contact tracing)
  • Distancing—chairs are set up in the church at appropriate distances.
  • Sanitizing hands before and after restroom use.
  • Singing—The Diocese has requested we refrain from singing a little longer. Mary will play the piano in church as a prelude and postlude.
  •  Communion—Stay at your seat and the priest (or a Eucharistic Minister) will come to you. We will offer the bread only at this time, recognizing that it is still receiving the fullness of Christ's presence. You can choose not to accept.
  • The Peace—Acknowledge each other and offer your peace to fellow worshipers from your place in the church.
