Trinity Tidings

The Twenty-Second Sunday

After Pentecost

October 25, 2026

From the Rector

This year the first Sunday of November is actually the 1st, which means All Saints Sunday is truly All Saints Day!!!

To celebrate this reality we are doing something special and fun by hosting a chili cook-off!

This is a GREAT opportunity to invite friends, family and neighbors to Trinity! It will both showcase who we are as a worshiping community and how we have fun together in our shared lives in Christ!

Please invite people to:

Bring a crockpot of homemade chili (advance notice to the office at

830-693-2822 or office@trinitymarblefalls.org is very helpful.)

Join you in going to the Church service.

Plan on tasting as many chilis as possible, filling out a simple scorecard to help pick the winner.

A morning where they can learn about some of the saints connected to The Episcopal Church.

See the announcement in the news and bulletin for more information, and help us to make this a fantastic Sunday at Trinity!

Faithfully,

Rev. Kurt

4th Sunday Worship — Gateway Gardens

Join us this Sunday afternoon at 2:30 PM for our monthly 4th Sunday Worship Service at Gateway Gardens Senior Living, located at 605 Gateway Central, off Hwy 281 South.

This is a special opportunity to share a brief worship service and music sing-along with the residents, many of whom are unable to attend services elsewhere. Your presence helps bring joy and encouragement to their day.

All are welcome to join! If you’re interested or have questions, please contact rmarquessrr@gmail.com or call/text 512-461-7066—or simply show up to worship with us. Let’s be a blessing together!

Are you bringing Chili for the All Saints Sunday Chili Cook-off??

Please let Rev. Kurt or the Church Office know if you will bring a crock pot of chili for tasting, so we can lower the chance of blowing a fuse! Please additionally tell us if your chili is Vegan or Gluten Free.

We will have a fun time after our 10:30am service with a Chili Cook-off on Sunday, November 1st!

— Everyone is invited to bring a crockpot of a chili they have made (no prepackaged mixes)

— All chilis will be given a number to hide the cook/artist

— Everyone will be encouraged to spoon a sample of each chili and fill out an evaluation form

— We will tabulate scores and celebrate the winners as everyone then eats enough for their lunch! (We will have hotdogs for non-chili eaters.)

We will provide fixings and beverages to complement the chili, and EVERYONE will hopefully have fun!
