From the Rector
Each year it is normal to have a formal visit from one of our Bishops in The Diocese of Texas/ Usually this is done by Bishop Ryan, our Regional Bishop, and sometimes done by Bishop Doyle, our Diocesan Bishop.
August 23rd will be the date of Bishop Ryan’s next visit to Trinity.
With it comes the opportunity to formally become an Episcopalian if you are not one already!
Anyone originally baptized in The Episcopal Church is an Episcopalian. At some point, most people are Confirmed by an Episcopal Bishop by the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. This often happens somewhere on the journey to becoming an adult, but sometimes happens later. For those who were baptized as babies or as a young child, it is an opportunity to proclaim your Baptism for yourself within our communal liturgy.
For those not originally baptized in The Episcopal Church, Confirmation or Reception is the formal/liturgical way to become an Episcopalian.
I would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about any of these options, or even Reaffirming your being an Episcopalian! Please schedule some time with me, or call or text me to learn more.
Faithfully,
Rev. Kurt
