Dear Trinity Friends and Families,
Trinity has been working intensively to prepare our church for the resuming of our normal church activities. We have been working together as a TUMC Team as well as working directly with the Volusia County Health Department as well as receiving direction from the Annual Conference. I want to thank all of you who have worked to ensure our activities will resume safely. As of right now, we are not worshipping face to face through March. This time might be extended as we are in a fluid situation.
We are experiencing an unpresented event in our church, community, nation, and world, which has affected many in our church family as well as our community. We continue to lift up prayers for all impacted. Please be assured, as your Pastor along with the Annual Conference and Church Leadership we continue to monitor the situation and make decisions based on the facts and advice received from the Volusia County Health Department. Please remember, if you have any concerns, please contact me.
Please know that the Trustees are making sure all the necessary steps are being taken to attain a safe church environment.
Do whatever you can to stay connected as a community during this difficult time. Call each other, send texts, emails, smoke signals, whatever it takes to ensure that we remain Trinity Strong. We are working on various ways we can worship together through technology. Pray that God will make that happen for us in a meaningful and powerful way.
Please know we are focused first on maintaining the health and well-being of our Trinity Family. That priority will guide all of our planning and preparation now and in the future.
I am extremely optimistic that we will rise to this challenge. Not just rise above it, but grow and even thrive through it. This is our time to reach out to others and show the love of Jesus. So be safe, be kind, wash your hands, and repeat.
Still on One Peace;
Rev. Dr. Todd Bardin
Pastor, Trinity United Methodist Church, DeLand
