This outside review happens every seven years and is part of our growth and accountability as a school. Learn more about the process and purpose in these slides developed for student information. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, as part of our Middle States evaluation.

Virtual Day

Friday, November 8, will be a Virtual Learning Day. Faculty will be available that day for student questions. Teachers will give their students instructions for the day. All assignments will be due no later than Tuesday, November 12. Students helping with the 8th Grade Visit Day will have until Wednesday, November 13, to return their work. Students who do not return their assignments may be marked absent for the day.

Experienced Instrumentalists Needed

The Saint Genesius Players are in need of experienced instrumentalists to play in the pit orchestra for their production of The Wizard of Oz (February 28 through March 2). Please contact Mrs. Caroline Jarrett if you are able to play one of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, baritone saxophone, tenor saxophone, or violin.

Veterans Day Mass

All members of Patriots Club and all Trinity community veterans are invited to a special Mass on Tuesday, November 12, at 2:45 p.m. in the school chapel to commemorate those who have served in our nation's armed forces. Please contact Mr. Michael Creavey for more information.

Veterans Day Recognition

Veterans Day is right around the corner. To honor members of our Trinity community who have served or are serving in the armed forces, Trinity's Patriots Club is seeking photos to include in both our "Wall of Honor" display and the video slideshow to be shared with students and faculty in various ways throughout the month of November. If you have a service member/veteran you would like to request we include, please send a high-resolution photo along with the veteran's name, rank, service branch, and any other relevant information to include to Mr. Creavey, by Friday, November 8. NOTE: If you have previously sent this information, we still have it on file and you do not need to resubmit.

Student Accident Insurance

As our students prepare for winter sports, it's a good time to consider insurance availability for student-athletes. The Diocese of Harrisburg contracts with AG Specialty Insurance to offer low-cost, voluntary insurance options for our families. See more information here, and find the enrollment form here.

Collections for Saint Francis Soup Kitchen

Seton House is serving at Saint Francis Soup Kitchen in Harrisburg into early December. Seton House Mentor Groups are collecting items to bring with them for the needy in our community. We are collecting sweatshirts, which are due to Madame Sarah Zellers' room (218) by December. These items can be in good, used condition. Thank you!

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Trinity is partnering with New Hope Ministries for our Thanksgiving Food Drive. New Hope is in need of (but not limited to) the following items: canned veggies, canned fruits, stuffing, and yams. The food drive will begin on November 1 and end on November 18. All donations should be taken to your child's Mentor Group, as this will be for House points.

Sophomores--Could You Be the Next Trinity HOBY Ambassador?

Each year, Trinity sophomores who believe they possess leadership skills have the opportunity to apply for the HOBY Youth Leadership Seminar. After submitting applications, two selected Trinity students will attend the prestigious HOBY Youth Leadership Seminar (held at Millersville University, traditionally in late May into early June) to represent Trinity High School and sharpen their skills of personal leadership, group leadership, and leadership for society. Students who are chosen and attend this seminar can list this on their resumes and are highly recognized by colleges and universities as strong leaders in their communities.

Sophomores interested in applying should pick up applications from the 9th and 10th grade counselor, Mrs. Kerry Sweigart (Miss Campbell). Applications, which require a typed essay, will be due by Thursday, November 7. Trinity's current HOBY Ambassadors spoke to all 10th graders on November 1 about their experience at the 2024 HOBY Leadership Seminar.

Musical Auditions

Auditions for the spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, will be held on Monday and Tuesday, November 4 and 5, with callbacks on Thursday, November 7. Click here for more information.

Now Welcoming Trinity's Class of 2029

As current members of our Trinity community, your sharing the good news of Trinity by talking with your friends and sharing our event on Facebook is so helpful for growing our school.

From Campus Ministry

Thirty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time, Mark 12:28b-34

One of the scribes came to Jesus and asked him, "Which is the first of all the commandments?" Jesus replied, "The first is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." The scribe said to him, "Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, 'He is One and there is no other than he.' And 'to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself' is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." And when Jesus saw that he answered with understanding, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Reflection by Miss Maria Villarino, Campus Minister

To love God fully means to place Him at the center of our lives. It calls us to engage our hearts in worship, our souls in devotion, and our minds in understanding His word. This wholehearted love inspires us to seek God's presence in our daily lives, to turn to Him in prayer, and to acknowledge His guidance in every decision we make.

How can we demonstrate our love for God in our actions towards others? May our hearts be open, our minds be clear, and our spirits be willing to love deeply, reflecting God's love in everything we do.
