July 30, 2021: Update on Covid-19 Safety Procedures
Trinity's safety procedures will continue to evolve and adapt in consideration of local, state and federal updates and guidelines. Our current update takes into consideration the recent State of Emergency in Orange County, Florida. As of July 28, 2021, in Orange County, the 14-day rolling positivity rate for Covid-19 had increased to over 15%, on July 27 alone there were 1,371 positive tests, and certain providers have reported that up to 30% of the positive cases are of vaccinated persons. Further, based on Center for Disease Control guidance, the primary and most important mode of transmission for COVID-19 is through close contact from person-to-person.

Because of this significant increase in Covid-19 cases in our area, Trinity's Leadership encourages all in attendance at public worship, church meetings, and study groups to socially distance. When distancing is not possible, we encourage you to wear a mask.  This is especially relevant when individuals meet in close proximity to one another (ie: small group meetings in classrooms or offices).

Trinity's Child Development Center continues to REQUIRE mask-wearing at all times by all adults in the facility and continues to structure parent access to limit the number of people on site at one time - all to reduce the possibility of exposure and ensure our best possible opportunity of keeping classrooms open and fully staffed.

*Trinity will continue to offer both in-person and online worship, as well as at-the-rail and in-the-pew communion options.
*Disposable masks are available at both Sanctuary entrances for anyone who needs one.
Back to School Blessings
Next weekend is our annual back to school blessings weekend when we bless backpacks and dedicate teachers as everyone heads into a new school year! Anyone headed back to school - all ages – bring your backpack to worship and we’ll bless it, and pray over you. For all of our teachers, we’ll be dedicating you to service as teachers in our community and send you off with lots of prayer for this new school year.
New Sunday Schedule Starts September 12
The congregation voted approval this new schedule PRE-COVID, and now we get to implement it! Praise God! Each week we'll be blessed with both Contemporary and Traditional Worship services, with Sunday School in between! Everyone in worship will have an opportunity for Sunday School / Bible Study either right before or right after their regular worship service! We are relaunching Children and Youth Education ministries on that day as well. We are blessed by the service of our volunteer leaders this year!

  • Children's Sunday School for children 4 years through 5th grade will utilize a curriculum published by Kingdom Quest. Serving this year are Mrs. Desiree Kallesen: 4-5 year olds, Mrs. JoAnne Gueswelle: 1st-2nd grades, and Mrs. Gail Wilkosz: 3rd -5th grades
  • MS and HS Youth Bible Study will begin with a study of Paul, co-lead by Faith Finger and her father Tom Finger, utlizing Right Now Media video study resources.
  • Confirmation Instruction will be co-lead by Pastor Doug Kallese and Mr. Tim Norris, studying from Luther's Small Catechism and various resources.
Your Service is Needed!
With an additional Sunday service starting up in September there is a great need for new volunteers to staff the additional serving roles of greeter, reader, acolyte, usher, and soundboard/powerpoint operator. Training and support is provided. Volunteers may only need to serve once a month if enough volunteers sign up. Please contact the assigned volunteer for each area or reach out to the church office at Thank you.

Readers/Greeters: contact Lia Harris at
Ushers: call or email Brian at
PowerPoint/Soundboard, Acolytes: contact Chanda at
Elders are scheduled via the Senior Elder
Trinity Parish Choir and Trinity Bells are starting back, live in-person! It's hard to believe that we've been down for nearly 18 months. All that is soon to change! Starting Sunday, September 12, Trinity shifts back to two services. The 9:00 a.m. service will be Contemporary with the Praise Team leading the music ministry. The 11:15 a.m. service will be Traditional with the Parish Choir and Bells leading the music ministry.

Parish Choir will begin weekly rehearsals on Wednesday, August 25, at 7:30 p.m. Please meet in the Church Balcony. Our first Sunday to sing will be Sunday, September 12, 11:15 a.m. service. Our plan is to sing every Sunday.

Bells will begin weekly rehearsals on Wednesday, September 8, at 6:30 p.m. Please meet in the Church Balcony. Our first Sunday to ring will be determined and we'll also determine frequency of ringing, as well.

Safety measures: We'll be sitting every other seat for choir. For bells, we'll try to space even more. If you'd like to wear a mask, please wear a mask. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. I know some have vaccinated, some have not. You have to do what you feel most comfortable with. But please think about your fellow Singalings and Ringalings. Thanks. Please keep praying for the obliteration of COVID and for safety for our congregation. I've been watching numbers and we're not out of the woods. To that extent, we'll ask that you participate in a way that is comfortable to you.

Recruiting for Choir and Bells
We'll soon be recruiting for additional members!! If you might be interested, please get in touch with Music Minsiter Tom Naus, or with Music Volunteer Extraordinaire, Paul Soost.
Zip Lines
Connecting with your Trinity family outside of worship and church events is essential! We all need a line of connection to a smaller group of Christian friends with whom we can share our lives, grow in Christ, have some fun, and to encourage one another in personal outreach efforts in our own circles of influence. For that reason, we'd like to connect people living in the same or adjacent zip codes so that you've got multiple nearby church family members with whom to connect throughout the week!

If you'd like serve as your zip code's coordinator, (sending emails, making a few phone calls...) please contact Chanda Gillenwater, Trinity's MInistry & Communication Coordinator. The goal is to connect every person at Trinity with their very own ZIP LINE where they can build those deep relationships.
One Night a Week Position at Maternity Home
Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries Maternity Home is currently seeking a mature woman who is able to spend Thursday overnights with the women residents at the Maternity Home in Sanford. The hours of duty are from 4pm on Thursday through Friday morning at 9am. The position requires sleeping in the home overnight to insure safety and be available for any emergency needs that may arise. She will also prepare a balanced meal for 4 to be served at 6pm on Thursday evening. RLOM would prefer the support of an able volunteer, but are willing to pay $50.00 each week.

Do You Still Have Your Baby Bottle for Redeeming Life Maternity Home?
It’s not too late to impact and change lives through the ministry of Redeeming Life! Please return any bottles you may have (full or empty) to the church office and Redeeming Life will pick them up. The bottles are reused to allow other churches and organizations to sponsor Baby Bottle fundraising. Thank you!
Child Development Center - Work Day
On Friday, August 6, the CDC closes to children for a teacher workday. During that day, teachers attend meetings and then spend the remainder of the day deep cleaning and reorganizing for the new school year and a new classroom of new students. This is a FANTASTIC time for Trinity members to meet some of our CDC staff , check out Trinity's CDC facility, and donate some service time to help with back to school preparations. Usually, to visit the CDC when children are present, a background screening and preapproval is needed, however, since the kids are away, you can check out the facility and meet some teachers as you help out withe the work day list!! On the volunteer to-do list that day is included:

  • windows, walls and other surfaces cleaned
  • help painting spots where paint has chipped
  • weeding the urban school garden in front of the church office

If you're able to help anytime between 9:30am and 3:00pm please come to the main entrance of the CDC facility (big white columns) and check in there with with Mrs. Colby Veta, our CDC Education Director. THANK YOU!!! (Adults are required to wear masks in the CDC)
Final Landscaping Project Update - The Stars and Stripes Award
All the workdays went fantastic! Praise the LORD!!! More than 20 volunteers at each workday. Tremendous thanks to all volunteers who helped out and made this a reality. The church looks gorgeous! Thanks to Hannah's great planning and execution, and the volunteer support of many, everything went very smoothly and we didn't have any major problems. There was even some extra mulch left over it was added to other areas around the property to make them look nicer.

This project was planned and executed by Hannah Rickenberg, with American Heritage Girls, who chose Trinity to be the recipient of her service project requirement for conisderation of The Stars & Stripes Award. This award is the highest recognition available to an American Heritage Girl. This award teaches girls perseverance, self-respect, and a strong feeling of satisfaction. In addition to badge work, references, and personal reflection, Stars & Stripes Award Candidates complete a substantial service project, which they plan, lead, and implement. Girls pursuing this award are given the opportunity to exercise servant leadership, project management, communication skills, time management, and organization while blessing their communities in truly amazing ways. Through the process of earning the Stars & Stripes Award, candidates gain a first-hand understanding of the servant’s heart required to lead with integrity and humility, preparing girls for responsibility as they transition to adulthood. (info from their website)

We have certainly been blessed by her efforts! THANK YOU, Hannah! Well done!

DID YOU KNOW? Most people check out a new church online before ever stepping foot onto a church campus. They read our Trinity Weekly online, read over the pages of our website, look at campus maps, listen to the sermons, check out our Facebook page, browse the YouTube channel, and in all those areas, they see PHOTOS of the life of Trinity. That's why we like to have as many photos as possible from our Trinity family, in all aspects of the life of the Chruch.... so that we can post these in the Trinity Weekly, share on the Website, and use as Marketing material to show others what we're all about and reduce some of that "FIRST TIME GUEST" anxiety. Whether its photos of campus work days, of the choir sining via Zoom, kids in Fridat Comunion, Confirmation Essays, Confirmation classes, Trinity members in a meeting or Bible study group all spaced out with masks on, a group out in the community doing a service project with family and friends. ALL of them tell the story of what it's like to be part of the Trinity Family PLEASE, Send in your photos of Trinity Family moments! Send LOTS! Send to Chanda at
