Ron Logan Memorial Service

We would like to extend an invitation to the memorial service for Ron Logan on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11am. Please reach out to the church office with any questions.

For Your Safety

We are excited for some repairs to the plexi-glass over the stained glass windows in the sanctuary. The plexi-glass will be replaced and everything around the windows will be recalked.

In preparation for these repairs, scaffolding has been set up on the west side of the sanctuary. Please be advised of this and pay special attention to the following:

  1. The external door to the undercroft MAY NOT be accessed while the scaffolding is in place. Please do not enter and/or exit the undercroft via the external door.
  2. If you are entering the premises from the north parking lot behind the sanctuary, please watch your head as you walk under and around the scaffolding.
  3. Parents, please make sure your children stay away from the scaffolding. Under no circumstances is anyone to be climbing on or playing near it.

If you have questions, please contact the church office.

Please see the pictures below for a progress report:

Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Trinity Downtown!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Trinity Youth Ministry (TYM) is a new and exciting opportunity for 6th through 8th grade students in our local community to come together in a fun environment to build relationships with one another and with Jesus. Volunteers and participants will enjoy dinner together, followed by worship, games, and an open gym in the beautiful facilities provided by our Lord at Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Orlando. FCA TYM will meet in Trinity’s fellowship hall and gymnasium, from 6-8 p.m. one Sunday per month.

For additional information, please see the flyer below:

Care Packages for College Students

Our Human Care Ministry would like to begin a project to send care packages to our college students who are currently away from home. We want to maintain contact and remind them of our prayers, love, and care for them.

We have a team formed who will draw up guidelines for what to send and when, and how to let the congregation share in the project.

What we need now are names and mailing addresses of our college students. Please send these to the church office ASAP. The deadline to submit names and mailing addresses is September 25th so we can begin our planning in earnest. Please direct any questions to the church office.

Family Fun Night

Trinity's next Family Fun Night will be held TONIGHT, Friday, September 16, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. All ages from young to old are welcome to join in on some fun and games, whether board games or card games. The main event for the night is bingo with prizes that include nostalgia candy, "a blast from the past," and gift cards from various locations.

The Fellowship and Outreach team will be providing "A Chili Cook-Off" for dinner. Let's see who wins the First Annual Cook-Off Trophy! Attendees are asked to bring a dessert. A free-will offering will be taken to help cover operating expenses as well as for the Pastor's Discretionary Fund.

This month will also include a themed basket on display for a raffle drawing by the name "A.S.A.P.: Always Say A Prayer." So bring your $1 bills and play your heart out! Baskets change each month, but the purpose remains the same: to raise money to purchase gazebos for the courtyard.

Please contact the church office with any questions.

New Foundations Class

Trinity is offering a weekly Foundations Class. If you or someone you know is interested in joining Trinity or wants information about the Lutheran faith, this is the class for you! An introduction to Christian teaching and the Lutheran faith, the purpose of this class is to provide the information needed to understand what Lutherans believe and decide whether Trinity is the church for you. Joining Trinity after completing this class is not required, but our hope is that you will find this to be a wonderful community where you can be involved and grow spiritually.

Meetings will occur September 10-November 5 from 4:00pm-5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall If you are interested in the class or need more information, please contact the church office.

For anyone who may want to participate but is not available when we are meeting or is not comfortable meeting in person, we are working on an online option that will give you the same information but can be completed on your own. However, we encourage you to attend in person if possible as you will have the opportunity to interact with the others in the class and become connected to people at the church who are learning alongside you. If you are interested in this online option, please contact the church office at

LWML Sunday

Each of us has faced challenges and circumstances greater than our own strength, but in Christ, Who is for us and with us, we are already more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) Sunday will encourage all hearers of the Word to remember that Christ’s victory is already ours through baptism. Because of that, we can confidently live each day trusting in Christ.

Our congregation will have the opportunity to gather together in worship under the theme “For Us and With Us,” based on Romans 8:31-39, in celebration of LWML on October 1 and 2, 2022. We will display some of our completed quilts on front and back pews and also our banner with our Mission Statement completed by Norma Smith for Trinity's 100th Anniversary in 2018.

New Adult Sunday School Class

Beginning THIS WEEKEND, Pastor Doug will be leading a study for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults entitled "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist" based on the book by Frank Tureck and Norman Geisler by the same title.

If you want to follow along in the book or the study guide, we recommend purchasing your book ASAP.
