Trinity Shares Christmas – Angel Tree
This is our 14th year of sharing Christmas! The tree will be up this weekend with ornaments requesting food, gifts and donations. The recipients of your love will once again be Angel Tree children, whose parents are incarcerated, and their caretakers. Each child will receive two gifts in the name of their parent, and the caretakers will receive food for a Christmas meal. If you would like to participate:

  1. Take one or more ornaments from the tree.
  2. Write your name and each ornament code or donation amount on the pad provided on the shelf.
  3. Return the requested donations and unwrapped gifts with the ornaments no later than Sunday, November 24. Please do not use the adhesive side of the ornament.

Our Angel Tree list has 13 families and 28 children – more than last year!  We haven’t reached all the caretakers yet, so if you miss the tree this weekend, don’t worry – there will be more ornaments next weekend! If you have any questions about Trinity Shares Christmas/Angel Tree, please contact Glenda at whitemice@bellsouth.net .

Women’s Christmas Dinner-Tickets on Sale THIS weekend
All women of Trinity are invited to purchase a ticket and attend the much anticipated return of the Women’s Christmas Dinner on Thursday, December 12 from 6-8pm. This year's theme is "Shine Like Stars at Peggy's Party" in honor and remembrance of beloved Trinity member, Peggy Trapp. Let’s come together for fellowship, Christmas caroling, a wonderful catered meal prepared by Green Coat Catering and served by men of the congregation, and a great reminder that “It’s still all about Jesus!!!” You’ll find a volunteer in the loggia after each worship service this weekend.

Tickets are $10 each. During the week you can purchase tickets in the church office. Don’t wait - we are limited to 80 seated guests this year, so please get YOUR dinner ticket before they are all gone!!! Let’s dress up a bit, but don’t go to the trouble of buying something new! Sunday best is great, or business attire.

Are you interested in hosting a table ? You will be responsible for heading a table, creating a centerpiece, and providing eight place settings of Christmas dinnerware or fine china and silverware.

We are also collecting supplies to donate to The Morgan Center and Quest (Name brands please):

Pumpkin Patch Leftovers
The sale has ended, and leftovers are free while they last. Thank you for your support.  The patched sold over $10K in pumpkins this year, so they raised about $3500 for the CDC’s PTL group!

Worn Out Flags
A flag that is torn, tattered, faded or dirty should be removed and disposed of properly. According to the U.S. Code, Title 4, Chapter 1, also known as the Flag Code, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”  If you have a worn out flag that needs to be retired, you may turn it in to the church office. We’ll pass it on to a member of Operation Barnabas who will see to it that it is properly retired.

Lay Leadership Summit
The Region 2 Lay Leadership Summit will be hosted by Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Gainesville, FL, on Nov. 15-16. This special event is designed specifically for Lay Leaders. This FREE conference is sponsored by the Florida-Georgia District and is a place where lay leaders have the opportunity to learn and grow as you serve Jesus in your local congregation. Questions? Contact the District Office at 407-857-5556 or kkeene@flgadistrict.org .
  • Equip, empower, and engage lay leaders of today’s church for effective ministry leadership.
  • Help one another discover their gifts and how to best use them to serve others.
  • Meet other congregational leaders to gain new ideas, support one another, and build inter-congregational relationships
  • Affinity Groups give you a chance to gather with others who share the same or similar interests or roles in their congregation.  These sessions offer an opportunity to explore with others who are climbing the same mountain. You’ll have the chance to build a network of new friends who are working in the same areas of ministry and interest and just may have helpful suggestions to strengthen your current ministry.
  • Sessions at the Summit feature workshops and keynote addresses designed specifically to equip, empower, and engage lay leaders of the church, such as ministry leaders, committee leaders, professional volunteers, council members, elders, media coordinators and you!

Choir meets Wednesdays @ 7:30 p.m. Please join us!
Choir has started and there are plenty of seats available for new members to join us. No one is turned away. Yes, you can sing! Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the church balcony. It's okay if you have to miss some Wednesday rehearsals or Sunday services. We typically sing three Sundays a month, including two 11:00 a.m. services and one 8:00 a.m. service. Please come join us!

You're Invited to Make A More Joyful Noise!
"Make A More Joyful Noise!" is open to everyone that wants to make a More Joyful Noise! We sing a few times each year , and ask that you join us for rehearsal the Wednesday before the Sunday we sing, or even the morning that we sing. This is for anyone that wants to "try out" choir, even if for only one Sunday, or for those that want to share the joy of Jesus Christ through music. Faith, fun and fellowship are abundant with Make A More Joyful Noise! Please come join us!

Please let us know!
Please let your Trinity family know of any scheduled surgery or hospital stay.  In addition to scheduled procedures, please give the church office a call to let us know about extended illness, unplanned hospital stays, or even the birth of a child.  You can call the office at any time and leave a message-no need to wait until business hours (407-488-1919 x101). During business hours, that information can then be forwarded to the appropriate caregivers. We'll get back to you ASAP. We want to be sure to know when you need us - whether to pray with you before a scheduled procedure, sit with you during a loved one's procedure, pray for you while you recover, visit you in the hospital/at home or to share praise and thanksgiving prayers for good news/results. Just let us know.  Thank you.

Urgent Prayer Requests
If you have an urgent prayer request that can’t wait until you fill out a yellow prayer card during worship, please submit it via email to Pray@TrinityDowntown.com .  While submitting a yellow card during worship is still the preferred way to share prayer requests, sometimes a prayer need can’t wait until Sunday.  Your prayer request (first name and basic details of the prayer requested) will be shared with a team of committed weekday prayer warriors and will also be added to Trinity’s regular printed prayer list for the congregation.  All prayers are kept on the printed list for a period of three weeks, so please resubmit long term prayer needs regularly so that they stay on the printed list. Thank you.
