HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  April 7-13 birthdays at Trinity: Barbara Swesey, Vicki Gill, David Glaze, Laura Smith. If your birthday is missing from this list, contact Trinity’s office at [email protected] or 501-868-5848.

IN WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 7:  Pastor Jeff Price will preach “I Didn’t See You” drawn from Matthew 25:31-46.  We will sing the hymns “Called as Partners in Christ’s Service;” “When Did We See You Hungry, Lord?” and “I, the Lord of Sea and Sky.”  David Glaze and the Sanctuary Choir will present Craig Courtney’s “The Carpenter’s Son . ”  Liturgist Jordan Abbott will assist in leading worship, Walt Smiley will read the Psalm, and Julianne Sublette will give God’s Word for Children. We will celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

RIVER CITY MEN’S CHORUS APRIL PERFORMANCE OF IMAGINE: JUSTICE–FREEDOM–PEACE :  “Imagine all the people living life in peace...” Words written by John Lennon; words that resonate today just as profoundly as they did nearly 50 years ago.  On so many fronts, we seek justice, fight for freedoms and long for peace.  The songs chosen for this concert focus on those aims and ideals.  You will hear such moving tributes in Mark Hayes’ thrilling suite based on Maya Angelou’s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings . The chorus will perform a setting of “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor,” the last stanza of Emma Lazarus’ sonnet “The New Colossus” which are lines of welcome inscribed on a bronze plaque in the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. You will hear the emotionally stirring “Glory” that was performed by John Legend and Common for the 2014 film Selma .  This is only a taste of what’s in store as we bring you the stories and music of those who struggle with injustice and work towards peaceful resolutions.  “You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one.” Join us for performances at Second Presbyterian Church (600 Pleasant Valley Drive in Little Rock) on Sunday, April 7 at 3:00pm; Monday, April 8 at 7:00pm; and Thursday, April 11 at 7:00pm.  All performances are free and open to the public, but seating is limited so arrive early!

EGG HUNT PRIZES NEEDED!  Let’s be a little more fun and healthy with our Easter egg stuffers this year! The annual Trinity Easter Egg Hunt will take place Sunday morning, April 14 at 10:00am. Think stickers, packets of flower seeds, silly putty, bouncy balls, assorted Easter toys like erasers, and mini boxes of raisins. The dollar store is a great place to find many of these items, as well as the Easter seasonal sections of Walmart or Target. If you do purchase candy, please remember that it needs to be individually wrapped, does not contain peanuts, won’t melt, and is small enough to fit in a plastic egg. There is a box in the Narthex for these items, or you can drop them by the church office during the week.  Please deliver all Easter egg stuffers to the church by this Sunday, April 7 as the Youth Group will be stuffing the eggs that evening. Direct questions to Julie Price at 501-626-6477.

TRINITY WOMEN “GALS ON THE GO!” OUTING ON APRIL 10:  Women of Trinity, our next field trip has been set for Wednesday, April 10! We all have spring fever and have opted for lunch at The Cupcake Factory (18104 Kanis Road in Little Rock) where we can enjoy either plate lunches or sandwiches.  Afterward we’ll head on to River Valley Horticultural Products (21701 Lawson Road in Little Rock) for a golf cart riding tour! River Valley Horticultural Products is a huge property showcasing trees, shrubs, water features, and a big selection of roses. Please let us know if you would like to join us for all or part of this outing by calling or texting Nancy Howell (501-519-3281) or Susie Haynes (501-351-6284).

EASTER EGG HUNT ON PALM SUNDAY, APRIL 14:  On Palm Sunday, April 14, the children and guests of Trinity are invited to take part in the annual Easter Egg Hunt here on the grounds of the church, weather permitting. We invite all children 5th grade and younger to gather under the breezeway with their Easter baskets at 10:00am. There they will receive instructions and then be sent off to hunt down all the colorful, surprise-filled eggs. Take this great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors with children to join you for the hunt followed by worship at 10:30.

APRIL 14 PALM SUNDAY CHORAL PRESENTATION:  Invite guests and make plans to attend a special presentation by our Trinity Sanctuary Choir on Palm Sunday, April 14 at 10:30am. The Choir and guest instrumentalists will present What Love Is This , a moving musical and worship experience that walks through the last days of Christ's earthly life, from the jubilant entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and the difficult days of rejection and crucifixion to the triumphant resurrection of Easter Sunday.  The fullest spectrum of music is represented in this dramatic work from composers Lloyd Larson, Mary McDonald, Brad Nix, Marty Parks, and Larry Shackley. Direct questions to David Glaze, Trinity’s Director of Music Ministries.
