WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY BEGINS TONIGHT:  Join Pastor Jeff and Julie Price for a new Wednesday evening Bible study, “Living at the Corner of Faith and Doubt,” at 6:00pm in Room 6 beginning tonight. Many churches seem to suggest that faith and doubt cannot coexist. This class will look deeply at some famous doubters in the scriptures, such as Abraham and Sarah, Moses, Thomas, and Paul. We will also together reflect on our own doubts, discovering how they harm us, but also how they can be beneficial. The class runs for five consecutive weeks. Each lesson stands alone so you can attend as you are able. Direct questions to Jeff Price.

IN WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22:  Pastor Jeff Price continues his sermon series “Three Wishes: The Gospel According to Aladdin” by preaching “Wishing for a Better World” drawn from Isaiah 11:1-9. We will sing the hymns We Wait the Peaceful Kingdom and Bring Forth the Kingdom.  Liturgist Sterling Rowell will help lead worship, Sylvia Griffin will read the Psalm, and Anne Brown will give God’s Word for Children.

ACOLYTE TRAINING THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 after worship in the sanctuary for all children in grades 4 and 5 and their parents with Pastor Jeff. This will last no longer than 15 or 20 minutes. We want the 5th graders there for a refresher course, to help teach the new kids, and to hear about any changes in the way they should do their job. Direct questions to Julie or Jeff Price.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! September 22-28 birthdays at Trinity: Robin Brown, Mary Browning, Laura Porter. If your birthday is missing from this list, contact Trinity’s office at 501-868-5848 or [email protected].

BUNKO: FELLOWSHIP, FUN, FRIENDS, AND FOOD!  Women of Trinity, our next monthly Bunko Night will be Thursday, September 26 at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. A light dinner will be served and everyone is encouraged to bring their own beverage. For the game, bring a $3-5 wrapped prize. Don’t worry if you’ve never played Bunko—the game rules will be explained. For more information, contact Susie Haynes at 501-351-6284.

NEW RESOURCE CENTER TABLE DISPLAY IN THE NARTHEX:  Our Presbytery offices at Markham and Reservoir Road house a resource center or library for all of us to use for free. These resources include books and media, some of which are on display in the Narthex for you to check out. You are welcome to return your items to the center yourself, or you can just return them to the table or the church office when you are finished with them. The center also resources classes and ideas. Find out more about us on Facebook at Resource ARK. Direct questions to Julie Price or Carol Clark.

“GALS ON THE GO” OUTING ON OCTOBER 9:  Gals On The Go is a group of women of all ages who gather at Trinity for outings. On Wednesday, October 9 at 11:00am, all women of the church are invited to join us for lunch and an outing. Meet in the church parking lot to carpool. Our trip will be to Heifer International downtown near the Clinton library. We’ll lunch at Café@Heifer where they feature locally-sourced items. We welcome input on future trips! Direct questions to Susie Haynes (501-351-6284) or Nancy Howell (501-519-3281).

NEW WORSHIP CARE VOLUNTEER NEEDED:  A new Worship Care volunteer is desperately needed! This job simply entails walking the preschoolers to the nursery following the Children’s Message and helping the paid nursery workers watch over them until they are picked up following the service. The volunteer has a regular Sunday every other month, so it means serving just 6 times a year. Please let Julie Price (501-626-6477) know if you can help or if you have questions.

W@TT WEDNESDAY MORNING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY:  Trinity’s weekly women’s morning group known as W@TT (Women @ the Table) meets each Wednesday beginning at 10:00am and ending at 11:00 in Room 6. The group, open to women of all ages who enjoy fellowship a nd discussion-style learning, will again be led this year by Nancy Howell and Susie Haynes. This fall’s study is “ABC’s of Women of The Bible.” Each week stands alone, so if you’re unable to attend and have to miss a session, you will not be left behind. Direct questions to Nancy Howell (501-519-3281) or Susie Haynes (501-351-6284).
