FRANCE IN 2024!

Paris & The Heart of Normandy - Viking Cruise
October 10-17, 2024

Details for the 2024 Viking Cruise from Paris to Normandy and back are now available. There has been a lot of interest expressed from those wanting to take advantage of this opportunity, and even some reservations made already, but we wanted to get this updated information out to everyone in case there are others that would like to go.

Because space is limited to 168 passengers (84 rooms with 2 per room), you will need to act quickly to secure your room on the boat.

The dates of the cruise will be October 10-17, 2024. Those dates were selected based on cost and weather.

Please click on the blue links below to review the attached documents.

This document will provide more detail on the cost of the trip, itinerary, cancellation policy, etc. The airfare included in the attached Guest Statement is based on traveling from the mid-section of the US. Cost for air fare could vary a bit based on if you are traveling from the west coast or east coast of the US. For others who may be traveling from other parts of the world to participate, contact the Cruise Director for airfare travel cost (his contact info is below)

The cost per person will be $4,917.00 based on the attached Guest Statement and is broken down as follows:

Cruise Fee: $3,199.00
Air Fare: $1,199.00 (includes $500 discount; airfare cost could vary based on where you are traveling from)
Trip Mate Travel Protection - $519.00

A $500 deposit per person is required at the time of reservation.

The cost per person is based on double occupancy.

Feel free to share this information as well with other non-alumni folks that might want to go.

NOTE: I will be putting out the regular newsletter soon! It promises to have a lot of great content, i.e. 2022 Reunion photos, list of LOTS of people that have been located in the last few months, alumni spotlights with bios, etc. So watch for it. Vicki

CHECK OUT OUR DAHS ALUMNI SURVEY!

We have put together a survey that we would love everyone to complete. It will give us some great bio information for the Alumni Spotlight section of the newsletter and perhaps the Dreux website. It will let us know your thoughts about the newsletters and suggestions for improvements. There are also a couple of questions in the survey that might help us to locate some of your former classmates that have not been found yet!

Clink on the blue link to access the survey. Alumni Survey

We have had 25 alumni complete the bio survey, which is fantastic! We would like to have more! Complete yours today!

UPDATING YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION
As always, if your contact information has changed (i.e. email address, postal address, area code or telephone number) and you haven't notified me, please email that information to Vicki Key. I want to be sure that your contact information is correct in the Dreux AHS Alumni Directory and that we don't lose touch with you!
COME JOIN US ON FACEBOOK!
The Dreux American High School Group page on Facebook has been a lot of fun! We have 582 members in the group right now. Former friends have reconnected, uploaded photos from Dreux, and have general discussions about their time spent at Dreux. We also do New Find Alerts when we locate former classmates that have not yet been found as well as Sad News Alerts when we discover that former classmates or faculty/staff members have passed.

I have the group as a closed group so that only those people associated with Dreux are involved. If you are interested in joining us, just use the "request to join" feature on the FB Group Page or send me a friend request and I would be happy to add you!

If you are on Facebook and have not already joined the group, here is the link to our page so you can request to join:Dreux American High School Facebook Group
Missed a prior Dreux AHS Newsletter?
You can view them on the Dreux website
In case you missed receiving any of the past Dreux AHS Newsletters for whatever reason, they are archived and available to view on our Dreux AHS website. There is a link on the front page of the website to access them.

PLEASE remember that you can always opt out of receiving the newsletter if you would like, but PLEASE do not tag or report it as SPAM. That really hurts our ability to continue to do these newsletters using Constant Contact and there are many people who enjoy getting them. We certainly hope you don't opt out, but it is certainly your choice. I try not to overwhelm everybody with them, but keep in mind that just prior to Reunions, we may do them more than we normally do.
