Only 4 to 12 bottles are available of each wine from true American First-Growth Eisele Vineyard (formerly Araujo)
“This is one of the greatest terroirs in all of Napa Valley, if not all of California.”—Robert Parker
We wrote "true American First-Growth" because Chateau Latour acquired Araujo Estate in 2013 and renamed it Eisele Vineyard.
We still have 11 bottles of Chateau Latour's third wine thanks to this connection!
21% of the production of First-Growth Chateau Latour went into this bottle.
This is your rare chance to enjoy the exceptional quality and style of one of the finest wines in the world, without waiting 15 years or spending over $1,400 a bottle.

2018 Chateau Latour "Le Pauillac de Latour"

93 Points - Falstaff:
"Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, subtle rim brightening. Delicate liquorice, ripe red cherry fruit, some cassis and candied orange zest in the background. Medium complexity, delicate dried plums, fresh acidity, blackberry fruit on the finish, mineral aftertaste, already easy to drink." (Jan 2023)
92 Points - Wine Spectator:
"This has a lovely feel, with a mix of graphite and velvet textures carrying dark plum, warmed cassis and cherry reduction notes along. Flashes of alder, licorice and warm earth peek in throughout. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2032." – JM (Mar 2021)
92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"I'm always shocked at the quality of the base Pauillac from this château, but I guess at this point I shouldn't be, given that it's outstanding in just about every vintage. The 2018 Le Pauillac De Château Latour has a medium to full-bodied, ripe, rounded, even sexy style as well as sunny aromatics of red and black fruits, smoked tobacco, and lead pencil shavings. It's balanced, concentrated, and incredibly satisfying." (5/22/2023)
From Lisa Perrotti-Brown's March 2023 Visit:
"Of the 2018 Pauillac de Latour, winemaker Hélène Genin said, “We were very careful with the harvest date this year. We tried to harvest earlier, so that the tannins are ripe and there is a good weight, but not too much.” An extreme vintage... the concentrated 2018 Pauillac certainly has more weight and richness than is typical, yet it maintains a sense of decorum. This “third” wine of Château Latour accounted for 21% of the production this year."

100 Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"Deep purple-black in color, the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon slowly unfurls to reveal a gorgeous perfume of violets and roses over a core of kirsch, boysenberries and cassis, plus hints of redcurrant jelly and menthol, emerging into wafts of pencil lead and truffles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, featuring very firm, wonderfully ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness to support the vivacious, tightly wound black and red fruit layers, finishing long and mineral laced. It's a stunning, evocative, singular wine that so beautifully captures the long, slow-maturing grace of the 2019 vintage. Drink 2025-2065."
100 Points - James Suckling:
"This is sophisticated and intellectual, with an incredible wall of fine tannins that take you deep down into the soul of the wine. Full-to medium-bodied, tight and soulful. Tar, ash and volcanic-soil flavors. White pepper, too. Great length. Shows the first-growth quality of the vineyards, harking back to the wines of the mid-1970s. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. This needs at least six to seven years of bottle age. Best after 2028." - JS (Feb 2022)
100 Points - The Wine Independent:
The 2019 Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color. It is a little closed and broody to start, giving notes of tar, black olives, charcuterie, and iron ore, before opening out to a gorgeous core of crème de cassis, blueberry preserves, and fresh black plums, plus touches of anise, violets, and underbrush. Full-bodied, the palate is so, so graceful with an intense level of black and blue fruit layers, supported by firm, very fine-grained tannins and alluring freshness, finishing long and perfumed. Drink 2025-2065."

92-94 Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Altagracia was tasted as a finished blend barrel sample. Deep purple-black in color, it has a fragrant nose of potpourri and Indian spices over a core of kirsch, warm cassis and plum preserves, plus a waft of camphor. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is wonderfully juicy and perfumed, with alluring elegance and freshness, finishing long. Drink 2024-2040." – LPB (Oct 2021)
17.5 / 20 Points - Jancis Robinson:
Savoury, earthy aromas of crushed rocks and gunmetal with a backdrop of dark fruits and floral accents, followed by flavours of violet, black fruits and graphite. The overall character is both darker and more floral than the 2019. Palate-cleansing tannins are very fine grained, with the wine offering a greater focus on acidity compared with the very even balance of the 2019 vintage. Tactile and satisfying. The fruit presence will likely gain with more time in bottle but, even so, this is also a more mineral-focused, slightly leaner vintage. (ECB)

The medium to full-bodied palate is so energetic and vivacious, with a silken texture delivering intense citrus flavors, and a racy backbone, finishing long and steely. Drink 2024-2032." (Apr 2023)

18 / 20 Points - Jancis Robinson:
"This is a beautiful wine showing a complex range of aromas and flavours including notes of grapefruit, hints of melon and tropical fruits, fresh hay, and a mineral element that brings focus and depth to the wine as a whole. There is a pleasing mouthfeel that balances fresh, juicy acidity, with just enough tension, and textural fleshiness to keep the focus on elegance with pleasure. Fresh, refined and lengthy. It wants more time in bottle but already offers a sense of completeness that speaks well of its future. The Sauvignon Blanc from this site consistently ages a long time, so anyone who enjoys aged white wine should feel free to keep this bottle in cellar to enjoy for years to come. Drink 2023-2033."
