Dear Triple P Elkhart County Community,
For the past 11 years, Triple P Elkhart County has been a vital part of Horizon Education Alliance’s work to support children, families, and communities across the region.
Since 2015, this effort has used a public health approach to parenting support, partnering with schools, employers, churches, libraries, social service organizations, and many other community institutions to make evidence-based parenting support available wherever parents and caregivers gather.
Over those 11 years, Triple P Elkhart County has partnered with approximately 150 entities across northern Indiana, delivered more than 11,000 Triple P interventions, and trained 200 professionals in a range of Triple P offerings, including social workers, church leaders, mental health professionals, and school counselors. In the last fiscal year alone, the initiative reached a record 2,000 interventions, a reflection of both the continued need for this work and the deep commitment of the community that made it possible.
That impact belongs to all of you. It belongs to the practitioners who offered support to parents with care and consistency, the partners who opened their doors and made space for Triple P in their organizations, and the parents and caregivers who showed up, asked questions, and kept investing in their families. This work has always been about building a stronger community by strengthening families, and that mission has been advanced because of your trust, partnership, and commitment.
At the end of June, HEA’s backbone role for Triple P Elkhart County will come to a close. While HEA’s operational role with this work is ending, Triple P support will continue to be available across the community through valued partners and through the many trained providers who continue serving parents in their local institutions.
There are many people and organizations to thank for sustaining this work over the years. Triple P Elkhart County is deeply grateful to the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, all seven of our county’s public school districts, Beacon Health Community Impact, Early Learning Indiana, Iris Family Services, Geminus, the Bontrager Family Foundation, the Well Foundation, The SOURCE, and many others whose financial investments helped make parenting support more visible, more accessible, and more deeply rooted in communities across the region.
Here is what you can expect moving forward:
- Beacon Health Community Impact will continue offering Triple P for Baby Online to new and expectant parents across Elkhart and Saint Joseph County through The Family Journey.
- Other Triple P for Baby offerings, including workshop sessions and groups, will continue through The SOURCE. That arrangement also preserves the partnership with Goshen College Music Together, helping to carry forward important work around early relational health in babies’ development.

Training and Implementation Coordinator Trisha Lightfoot has established Blossom Forge, an LLC that will provide evidence-based strategies and learning opportunities for parents and professionals across the community. More information is available at Blossom Forge.
In addition, parents and caregivers may continue to encounter Triple P support through community organizations and local institutions where trained Triple P providers remain active. Although this chapter is ending at HEA, the knowledge, relationships, and capacity built over the last decade continue to live on in the community.
This will also be the final monthly Triple P Elkhart County newsletter. Even so, TriplePElkhartCounty.org will remain an important place to look for upcoming Triple P events, resources, and support available online in English and Spanish.
It has been a privilege to be part of this work. Triple P Elkhart County has always been bigger than any one program office or organization. It has been a shared effort to ensure that parents and caregivers across the region can find practical, proven support in places they already know and trust. That shared effort will remain one of this initiative’s most meaningful legacies.
Thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your commitment to families.
With appreciation,
Leah Plank
