This month in Triple P: Supporting strong school attendance habits as a community!

We at Triple P Elkhart County are proud to support the Be Present countywide initiative on raising school attendance rates, as seen recently in the pages of The Goshen News!


The SOURCE has partnered with all seven Elkhart County public school districts to launch this campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the benefits of consistent school attendance for students as well as the dangers that face habitually absent students. Did you know that missing 11 days in a school year drops a student below the state's target of 94% attendance? And students who regularly miss class fall behind grade level on key skills they need to advance to the next grade and eventually graduate high school.


Our friends at Concord Intermediate School, 59197 Co Rd 13, Elkhart, are hosting a free Triple P workshop on Supporting School Attendance at 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18! Click the button below to register:

Explore resources and activities in your community at the City of Elkhart Resource Fair Sept. 19

Triple P Elkhart County will be one of the many community organizations at the Second Annual City of Elkhart Community Resource Fair, 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Elkhart Health and Aquatics Center, 200 E Jackson Blvd.


Come to learn more about the resources available to individuals and families in Elkhart, including access to city agencies, health and human services, educational programs and services, and countywide resources. You can also explore the variety of free activities available at the Health and Aquatics Center, including open gym, adult indoor soccer, pickleball, and an indoor walking track.

Join us for the start of Self-Healing Communities in Elkhart County Oct. 24 at Tolson!

We are happy to invite you to the launch of Self-Healing Communities in Elkhart County!


This community event on Thursday, Oct. 24, at Tolson Center in Elkhart will feature Velshonna Luckey and Dr. Nancy Michael of Self-Healing Communities Michiana, who will share about how our community can unite and build a culture of caring for ourselves and one another, and how neuroscience proves the numerous benefits of strong, resilient communities for all of us at any age.


This event is open to all and we especially encourage parents of children of all ages, even grown children, to join us for this uplifting and empowering exploration of how we all play a role in the strength of our communities, the wellbeing of our children, and the greatness of our future. Live translation to Spanish will be available.

Our friends at CAPS are offering a free Parent Cafe event to give parents a space to connect with other parents and talk about being a parent over a meal.
