Triple P Elkhart County Parent Newsletter - November/December 2025

This Giving Tuesday, give the gift of Positive Parenting!

Dear Triple P Parent,

First and foremost, thank you. You are part of a special community of over 10,000 parents in our area who have taken a step to strengthen their family. We know that parenting is a journey, and we are so grateful we could provide you with proven strategies and support along the way.

Because you've experienced Triple P firsthand, you know what it’s like to find a new approach that works, to feel more confident, and to see your family thrive. Right now, other parents in our community are looking for that same support.

This Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2, we have a simple goal: to ensure every parent who needs Triple P can get it, for free.

If your family’s situation has been changed for the better by Triple P, would you consider helping us extend that same gift to another family?

Any amount you can give will make a real difference:

  • $25 helps us provide welcome materials for a new parent starting their journey.
  • $50 covers the cost of a workbook for a parent in a Triple P Group, just like the one you may have used.
  • $100 can help us offer a one-on-one session for a parent who needs personalized support.

We know that parenting itself is a significant investment of time, love, and resources. Please know that we are deeply grateful for your participation in Triple P, whether or not you are able to give financially. Simply sharing your positive experience with another parent is a wonderful way to support our mission.

If you are in a position to help, your gift will directly pay it forward, ensuring another parent can find the same support and confidence that you did.

Thank you for being a vital part of our story.

With warmth and appreciation,

Leah Plank & the Triple P Elkhart County Team

P.S. You are the reason our work matters. If you can give, your gift will directly help another local parent discover the positive, practical strategies that helped you. Thank you for considering.

As always, you can find information about upcoming Triple P workshops and group sessions in the community at TriplePElkhartCounty.org. Read on for more updates!

Help our community create the best possible indoor play spaces for families!

A team with Building Strong Brains, Elkhart County's early childhood initiative, is working to map and develop public places where Elkhart County families can play indoors. By taking a very brief online survey (and helping spread the word about the survey to other families) you'll help their work.

Click the button below to take the survey in English or Spanish, and click the image of the flyer to download a PDF in English or Spanish to print or share with others.

Thank you for your help!

Camp Kesem Notre Dame (CKND) is a unique resource offered to children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer. CKND will offer its 24th annual camp in summer 2026, open to campers from throughout the Northern Indiana area. The camp is offered free of charge, and is open to any 6-18 year old who has, or has had, a parent or primary caregiver affected with cancer.

CKND one of over 100 active Camp Kesem chapters throughout the United States, and the program is staffed by wonderful student volunteers and leaders from the University of Notre Dame. As a national organization, Camp Kesem has over 15 years of experience bringing top quality programs that have a significant positive impact on children and families. The camps are designed to allow children the opportunity to find support, have fun, and feel safe, loved, heard, and respected. In addition to the annual summer camp, CKND also offers year-round support services. Some of these opportunities include a fall and spring Friends and Family Day, where campers and their families are invited to get together for fun activities and games, and providing extra support or care packages for families experiencing a particularly difficult time.

Registration opens Nov. 18 for returning families and in January for new families. Email notredame.outreach@kesem.org with questions or for more information.
